Strengths -Overall talent level -Youth -Team passing -Depth
The Jazz are undeniably an up-and-coming basketball club. With a long list of talented young players including Wallace, Harrington, Jefferson, Parker, Barbosa, etc. chances are the Jazz will be able to compete for a long time.
Weaknesses - No true "go to guy" - Youth
Though we've got a lot of talent, I'm not sure we've got one or two guys who can just come in and dominate a game. Though youth is quite valued (usually overvalued) in this league, many of my talented players have yet to develop fully...I could still be looking at a multiple year maturation process with multiple of 'em.
Franchise Player Until this season, it had been Brad Miller. Easily an overproducer who the Jazz have milked throughout his career...just check his awards section. Now the franchise tag belongs to Al Harrington. This smooth shooting forward is definately a bit of a tweener, but that didn't prevent Harrington from setting career highs last season in PPG, SPG, APG, and REBPG. He also earned all league 3rd team honors.
Team Outlook Every season begins with optimism in Utah, but for some reason all the pieces have yet to fall into the right place. The Jazz are definately a playoff team, but our result from there on will most likely depend on our ability to discover or trade for a true go to guy.
