Strengths-defense, speed/overall athleticism
Have a top-notch defender at every position, and a lot of athleticism. Samuel Dalembert is an elite shotblocker with great jumping for his size. Vitale Potapenko has major bulk on almost all of this opponents. Bobby Simmons has developed into an elite defender. Allen Iverson is one of the quickest players in the league and a theft on defense, and Andre Miller guards his position very well with his strength.
Weaknesses-lack of options and depth
Allen Iverson and then who? That's the question. Simmons has never proven to be a scorer, and while Dalembert and Potapenko form a nice duo inside that shoots at an impressive clip, neither are offensive standouts. Andre Miller lacks scoring prowess, too. Quentin Richardson and Mo Williams should offer good offense off the bench, but the Magic don't seem willing to sacrifice defense to surround Iverson with more options.
Franchise Player-Allen Iverson.
He's in a contract year, and he could become available, but he's a superstar, no doubt. The Magic expect an MVP-caliber season from Iverson, envisioning him as a 30 ppg scorer.
Trade Block-Everyone
Always open to deals, and looking to add capable scorers to my lineup, so all my guys are available.
Outlook-8th seed
This is a team with just enough to win some games. Won't be contending for a championship, but there's enough ability here to fight for the playoffs.
