1. Milwaukee - LeBron James SG - LBJ is a sure thing for #1. If the Bucks can put James and Carmelo Anthony together their rebuilding effort will be complete. They can put pretty much anyone at the other 3 spots and theyll make the playoffs. Thats how good these 2 guys will be.
2. Denver - Chris Bosh PF - The Nuggets need everything. They dont have a player on their roster they want to keep, so drafting anyone at 2 will be an upgrade. Bosh should come in and be their #1 option and top defender from Day 1. Every team needs a star and Bosh can be just that for the Nuggets.
3. New Orleans - Emeka Okafor PF - The Hornets have some nice young wing players in Darius Miles, Desmond Mason and Deshawn Stevenson. Adding a top notch PF/C that can rebound and defend seems like a great fit. Okafor should be a double double guy from Day 1 and will also be a great help defender for the young Hornets.
4. LA Clippers - Kirk Hinrich PG - The Clippers tore down everything after winning 2 BBS crowns and really hoped to reload in this draft. here they grab Kirk Hinrich who should be a very good PG in the BBS. Expect him to evolve into a 15 and 8 guy who rarely turns the ball over. A good start for the rebuilding Clippers.
5. Orlando - Darko Milicic PF - Might be a bit brave to take Darko so high, but he has upside that few left on the draft board have. Darko could be a very good defensive big man that can also score on the low block. Even if his offensive game doesnt evolve he should be a nice low post defender and rebounder.
6. New York - TJ Ford PG - The Knicks need to add some smalls to their great young frontcourt of Yao Ming and Kenyon Martin. TJ Ford is a nice start. A great young ball handling 1 that should develop into a fine defender as well.
7. New York - Leandro Barbosa SG - The Knicks could really use a legit scoring option at 2 or 3, but unfortunately there isnt much of that available at #7. Instead they take Leandro Barbosa and swicth him to SG. While he may lose some battle on the defensive side of the ball, his quickness and shooting ability will drive opposing teams crazy.
8. LA Lakers - Chris Kaman C - The Lakers dont need another young big man, but they cant pass up Kaman here. hes a very solid big that can score and rebound well. he should be a solid pro.
9. Utah - Anderson Varejao PF - The Jazz need to think about the future with Shawn Kemp getting up there in age. Varejao is an intriguing prospect who could become the heir apparent at the PF spot.
10. Orlando - Luke Ridnour PG - The Magic already having 2 promising big men, go small with Ridnour here. Ridnour wont turn this franchise around by himself, but hes a solid point who could become a good PG in the BBS.
11. Sacramento - Sagana Diop C - The Kings need some defensive bigs, and Diop fits the bill perfectly. Hes a huge young man who can block shots. Pretty much exactly what the Kings need.
12. Seattle - Marquis Daniels SG - The Sonics are in the beginning of a complete rebuild. They could really use a young go to scorer, instead they get a utility guy in Daniels. Daniels could develop into a solid starter with some RC attention, but most likely will be a very good 6th man type.
13. Atlanta - Mickeal Pietrus SG - The Hawks could really use a player like Diop, but instead they add another wing in Pietrus. Pietrus has great athletic ability but cant seem to turn the corner as a basketball player. Maybe with some RCs Pietrus can take the next step.
