Who is the best in the league at each age? This is one mans opinion.
18. Carmelo Anthony - Bucks-- The Bucks just made this future superstar the #1 pick in the draft. There is really no question that he is the best 18 year old in the league.
19. Amare Stoudemire - Pacers-- Much like Carmelo, Amare has yet to suit up in BBS. He is however expected to do great things in his career. He tops the list for 19 year olds in the league.
20. Gilbert Arenas - Raptors--Gilbert capped off a great rookie year by getting voted to the all rookie team. He put up great numbers last season averaging 18 ppg and 7apg.
21. Ron Artest - Pistons
-- There are several top 21 year olds around the league. Artest is by far the most developed though. He put up 20 ppg and nearly 8 rpg while playing great defense last season.
22. Pau Gasol - Heat-- Gasol still has some growing to do, however he put up amazing numbers on a bad Heat team. He put up 23/9 while shooting 50% from the field.
23. Elton Brand - Bulls--Brand is a flat out monster. He is no longer a one man show in Chicago but he still outshines everyone else on the team. He put up 27/12 last season. Simply amazing.
24. Dirk Nowitzki - 76ers
-- There is a very good chance that Dirk is the best player in the league. Not just his age. He put up 27.5/9.2 at the SF position and nearly carried his 76ers all the way.
25. Paul Pierce - Wizards
--Pierce is possibly the most feared outside shooter in the game. He is also a great ball thief. This 1st team SG has his best years still ahead of him as well.
26. Tim Duncan - Nets-- The great thing about Duncan is his unselfish play. He was able to still dominate even with the high scoring Danny Fortson sharing the front court with him. Duncan is amazing at every aspect of the game and will be a MVP candidate for years to come.
27. Allen Iverson - Pistons-- Iverson kind of had an off year in Detroit. More than likely this is because he was on a team surrounded by studs. He is still the class of the 27 year olds though.
28. Ben Wallace - 76ers-- I'll give Big Ben the advantage here because of his defense. He is an amazing defender and rebounder, however he is one of the worst FT shooters in the league. It’s really a tossup between him and Dyess.
29. Chris Webber - Hawks--You can't really argue with Webber's numbers. He put up nearly 22/11 on a team with tons of scorers. He now moves to Atlanta where he should put up even better numbers.
30. Shaquille O'Neal - Pistons-- The MVP chants will always surround Shaq. Shaq is the most dominant player in the history of BBS and He is looking to get an elusive 2nd ring.
31. Eddie Jones - Wizards-- Eddie takes this on his defense. He is the best ball stealer in the league and can also put great scoring %s.
32. Sam Cassell - Clippers-- How can you really argue with putting Cassell here? He flat out wins. He won two titles, an MVP and is still kicking strong.
33. Jayson Williams - FA-- This is kind of a weak age group. Jayson play a nice role on most teams though. He brings in toughness and rebounding off the bench.
34. Gary Payton - Celtics-- Payton is still one of the elite pure PGs in the league. He won't nail tons of 3's but he is great at posting up smaller PGs.
35. Dikembe Mutumbo - FA--Deke is one of the best defensive players of all time. He is looking to suit it up for at least one more season looking for a title.
36. Tim Hardaway - Wizards--Timmy may not like G@y people but he is still one of the best PG's of his era. He may not be as good as he used to be but he can still handle his own on the court.
37. Mark Jackson - Hornets--Mark Jackson has been around for what seems like forever. He is a great calming force for the Hornets though and plans to have a big role in what is perhaps his final season.
38. Chris Mullin - FA-- This isn't the Mullin of yesteryear but he can still play a solid role. There are few role players out there that you would rather have take a game winning 3 for you down the stretch.
39. Charles Barkley - Warriors
--You would figure that winning title would be a perfect exit for Sir Charles. Well guess again, this rebounding fool is coming back for one more season!
Feel free to express any disagreements as I'm sure I missed someone. Krup and Pig please try to limit it to one post worth of bitching..thanks!!
