Buy or sell, Amare Stoudemire as the #1 draft pick of 2002
Aaron: I will buy, for the reason that Amare is much more athletic than other top candidate Yao Ming (+1). He is explosive and take it to the basket, the only issue I would have with him is developing an outside shot. If he can develop an 18-20 foot jump shot he will be unstoppable. This is assuming of course that Carmello Anthony decides to go to Syracuse.
Spencer: I will buy, although true big man are hard to find, this guy will put up beastly numbers (+1). When you can imagine a player averaging triple doubles which include 10 blocks in one game, then this a player to develop your team around.
Kevin: I will sell. Yao Ming would be my #1 pick. Although I like Amare’s athletic abilities, were talking a 7’6 chinaman here! (+3) He will be a intimidating force on defense and actually has a solid outside shot for a big man (+1). He may not be as good a shooter as Okur, but he can develop a solid jump shot and from what I hear from our Chinese correspondent MingChongChing, he has a nasty hook shot (+2).
Hernando: I will sell, on the condition that Carmello Anthony goes pro. He has the capability of scoring like a Kobe Bryant and has a fantastic outside shot (+1). He can also take it to the basket with the rest of them. Carmelo Anthony will win Rookie of the Year honors.
Buy or sell, tanking being a major problem in the BBS.
Hernando: I will buy. There is much more incentive for a team to lose especially if the future draft like the 2002 draft is deep and filled with talent (+1). Although my team is not taking that approach now, the organization has definitely considered it, but realized it is just too unfair for the fans who pay top dollar to see us put on a great show (+2) There needs to be a way to influence the GM’s to compete the entire season (+1)
Kevin: I buy also. I agree with Hernando. If we can create a system where teams are rewarded for the amount of wins during a season we should do it. You can be rewarded for even a simple accomplishment as making the playoffs. (+1) We need to influence the owners to care more it’ll create a better league.
Spencer: I will buy. Tanking is a serious problem in the league and it shows that there is no passion to win unless you are up there with the elite teams (+3). I have faith in the wonderful commissioner of BBS, that there will be changes made in order to insure that the league remains competitive (+1)
Aaron: I will sell. Winning is the most important thing in the league and despite the opinions of my fellow colleagues this is not a problem. My home team rules, no one will catch up to them, and there amazing GM. Instead of cheating, try building a team like he did! (-2)
Spencer: Send me to the next round or I'll make sure that you never become a GM in BBS! (+1)
Question #1:
Can we compare KG to the elite power forwards in the 1980’s?
Kevin: Yes, AND he may be even better. I have never seen a power forward who can pass the ball as great as Kevin Garnett can. He reminds me of Magic Johnson, with the extra inches, and ability to post up the most defensive big men in the league.
Spencer: Are you kidding me? The power forwards in the 1980’s were much better. It was a different style of game than it is today. Today it is so much easier to be a great passer because everyone seems to be able to score these days. Put KG in a game in the 1980s, and he'd look like a deer in headlights. Perhaps we can ask this question again in 10 years.
Question #2:
With the recent retiring of Michael Jordan, will we ever see anyone like him again?
Spencer: No shooting guard will ever compare to the athletic ability and clutchness of this future hall of famer He is the best player of all-time, period.
Kevin: No one right now, but I definitely see the possibility in Dwayne Wade and Kobe Bryant. They both have the athleticism and drive to win that reminds me of Michael Jordan. As they both improve, it's possible that they will eventually be able to attack the basket better than he could.
Question #3:
Which conference will be home to the BBS Title this year.
Kevin: Eastern conference wins it, no doubt. Detroit is hands down the best team in the league. With a stacked lineup with Kidd running the fort and Shaq, being well, Shaq, they have to be the favorites.
Spencer: I would have to disagree. The west is much improved this year and a team like the Los Angeles Clippers or my home team Warriors definitely have just as good a shot as a team in the East.
Kevin: With today’s athletes pursuing NBA careers earlier in their life, should we invoke that they attend college for at least 2 years? The question is raised after guys like Kevin Garnett have entered and not even thought of a backup plan if they ended up unsuccessful or forced to retire due to injury. Just some food for thought.

"That’s the end of our round, let's look at the scores.
Kevin has a whopping 7 points. The always cocky Aaron has -1. Hernando has 5. Spencer also has 5. Who should we give the nod to? Spencer what do you have to say?"
Spencer: Send me to the next round or I'll make sure that you never become a GM in BBS! (+1)
"Due to the late coverage of the World Series of Card Throwing, we’ve been forced to go straight to our final round as Kevin and Spencer will face off head to head."

"Kevin, KG definitely is a good passer, but to compare him to Magic Johnson is just ridiculous. The point goes to Spencer."
Question #2:

Spencer: No shooting guard will ever compare to the athletic ability and clutchness of this future hall of famer He is the best player of all-time, period.

"Spence, MJ most likely will forever be the best player of all time, but we need to be open to the fact that the young guys in the league can, and may surpass him one day. Kevin, you get the point."
Question #3:
Which conference will be home to the BBS Title this year.

"Kev, I'm gonna have to agree with you. Especially with the recent acquisition of Ron Artest, the Pistons continue to be a front runner for the title. Take your 30 seconds of fame."
Kevin: With today’s athletes pursuing NBA careers earlier in their life, should we invoke that they attend college for at least 2 years?
