- G Dwyane Wade - Wade is the top talent in a very deep draft. He possesses top notch athleticism and fiery competitiveness which is what seperates him from most. He's the type of player that can carry his team to victory on any night. Wade has the ability to play either guard spot and while he isn't a true point guard he knows how to get his teammates involved. Also a capable defender with the ability to block some shots. Long arms. His only weakness is his outside shot. He's much more adept at slashing to the bucket and drawing fouls but should be able to develop into a consistent threat from outside in time.
- G Gilbert Arenas - Arenas is another combo guard that is a scorer first, but also capable of setting up his teammates for easy looks. Like Wade, Arenas is extremely athletic and should be one of the fastest players in the League from the get go. Arenas has a lightning quick first step but can also knock it down from 3. Arenas can get to line and has the talent to become a game breaking type player. Arenas has a tendency to jack it up at times so he'll need to develop more self control as he matures. Defensive potential but needs to give more effort.
- F/C Pau Gasol - Gasol is the first big and Euro off the draft board. He should be ready to contribute off the bat on both sides of the ball. Gasol's overall potential is debateable but he has the talent and desire to become an Allstar very early on in his career. He doesn't really have any weaknesses to his game other than a lack of bulk. He isn't a tremendous athlete, but has excellent coordination and balance.
- G Joe Johnson - Johnson has a very well rounded skill base which enables him to play 3 positions on the floor. He is definitely more of a scorer but can play point if necessary. Johnson can score in a variety of ways. His size and handling ability enable him to penetrate against any type of defense. Take away the drive and double J will drop the pullup jumper from anywhere on the court. Johnson projects to be a very efficient scorer at the next level and should also contribute on the boards. Not a tremendous athlete. More smooth than explosive. High potential.
- F Zach Randolph - Randolph is big and skilled. Great touch around the bucket. His baby hook is almost unstoppable at times. For a guy with his bulk, he has excellent quickness. Good touch out to 18 feet. Consistent rebounder at both ends of the court. Great hands and good at using his frame to get to where he wants to go. Selfish at times and tends to look for his own shot once he touches the ball. Struggles passing out of the double team. Defense is an issue, mostly to due desire and effort. Still, he has very good potential and should become one of the better low post scorers in the league.
- G/F Richard Jefferson - Athletic and can jump out of the gym. RJ is extremely fast on the break and likes to finish strong. Not a great ball handler but improving. Has a developing stroke and with his work ethic his offensive game should come around. Excellent defender. Strong and quick. Has the ability to keep players in front of him and enough size to challenge perimeter shots. Has the potential to be a good two way player.
- G/F Jason Richardson - Future slam dunk champ. Amazing hops. Explosive first step at times. Unstoppable on the break and would excel in an uptempo system. Decent shooter at the moment and has the potential to improve. Could become an offensive force if he improves his handles and 3pt shooting. Solid rebounder. Defense isn't a strong suit.
- C Mehmet Okur - Sweet stroke for a bigman. Has consistent 3pt range. Crafty with the ball down low or near the perimeter. Quicker then he looks. He has plenty of experience overseas and should be able to contribute offensively right from the start. Good handles and passing ability for a center. Potential may be better than most think. Defense is a concern. Doesn't block shots. Average rebounder.
- C Tyson Chandler - Freakish athlete at his size. Runs the floor very well. High energy player that can eat up rebounds and is a presence inside. Good potential as a shot blocker. Chandler is definitely a project. His offensive game needs major work. No post game and no mid range jumper. Limited to dunks and putbacks at the moment. Lacks strength. But he is very young and the sky is the limit. Should be a defensive force. If he develops on the other side of the ball, he could make an Allstar game or two down the road.
- C - Samuel Dalembert - Similar to Chandler. A potential shot blocking machine. Good rebounder. Long and lanky with good quickness. Good size but could get stronger. Offensive game is lacking and potential in this area may not be very high. With that said, he should still impact the game on the glass and on the defensive side of things.
