Team strengths:
The Chicago Bulls have a very strong base of young talent. With #1 overall pick Elton Brand leading the charge he is followed by some of the most promising young guards in BBS. Jamal Crawford, Mike Miller, Manu Ginobili, Melvin Levett, Trajan Langdon, Hedo Turkoglu, and Lee Nailon. These youthful guards have a very team first attitude and are not afraid to share and distribute the basketball with their teammates. It's going to be fun and exciting watching them grow together
Team weaknesses:
A team weakness would be it's lack of overall team defense. Opposing teams are shooting a very high percentage against the Bulls which leads me to believe that our perimeter defense is a key weakness. If teams are shooting a high percentage this makes me believe that they are penetrating into the lane for midrange shots. Defensive rebounding is another key weakness of the Bulls as they are giving up too many 2nd chances to opposing teams.
Franchise Player:
- Elton Brand
Elton Brand is the rock of this francise as everything runs through him. Every future draft pick is a compliment to him. Every offensive and defensive focus revolves around him. He was Rookie of the Year and First All-League team last season and he only looks to add to his hardware for many years to come. MTV Cribs reports that he is in the process of adding an addition to his house just for his personal acalades.
Trade Block:
Any expiring on the team could be had for future considerations. Every player on a rookie contract is most likely staying in place. '01 First round picks are also being shopped.
Season Outlook:
The Bulls still think that the playoffs are within reach, although they are not ready to compramise their future for now. GM Krupimpski struggles with it everyday but his focus is on the big picture."I am tempted everyday to toss out 3,4,5 draft picks for this guy or that guy but we are young. Sometimes it feels like I am watching grass grow but I'll tell you one thing though, I got one hell of a green lawn."
