Team strengths: Scoring and Depth
Critical for the most successful teams, this Suns team has a legit #1 option in PF Chris Webber. To support him in the scoring load are swingmen Michael Finley (balanced scorer), Cedrick Ceballos (balanced scorer), Brent Barry (outside threat), and even PG Damon Stoudamire. While the centers have not established themselves as dominant inside scorers, they've shown the ability to score off boards (minimum expectation)
Team weaknesses: Defense
The Suns can score. And thank god, cause they can't stop a college intramural team. PF Chris Webber can block a shot or two per game, as can Booth. Barry, Finley, and Stoudamire can grab a steal a piece. Ceballos can move gracefully out of the way. We suck at D.
Franchise Player: Chris Webber
Webber is arguably a Top 10 player in BBS and clearly the anchor to this team. Recent additions to the team and development within the team should only make Webber better as he plays within the team.
Trade Block: Of particular interest to Suns management is the desire to improve at PG, possibly adding a starting caliber PG that will PASS first and SHOOT/DEFEND second. A shot-blocker at the starting C position would be a nice, but necessary, addition.
Outlook: Ideally this team will contend for the top spot honors in the division, but with the dominant defending champion Clippers the Suns have truly challenged themselves. Management would like to see a winning percentage in .700 mark or better, a playoff berth, and playoff progression.
Go Suns!
