A look at the 00 BBS Draft with players who have shown interest in declaring for the draft.
-Gilbert Arenas-Portland...The Blazers desperately need a franchise type player, and you cant ask for more then Gilbert Arenas. Arenas is the type of player that can play 2 positions, and score 25 points per game. It might take Arenas a little time to get adjusted to the league, but expect him to be an All-League performer.
-Michael Redd-Houston...The Rockets are already deep on the wing with youngsters Rashard Lewis and Corey Maggette, but they cant pass on Redd. Michael Redd is gonna be a 20-23 ppg scorer. Drafting Redd may allow the Rockets to play small ball with Lewis at 4, and Maggette at 3.
-Baron Davis-Chicago...The Bulls need an outside compliment to their young stud Elton Brand. Davis and Brand could be one of the top 1-2 punches in the league within 5 years.
-Tony Parker-Toronto...After adding Tracy McGrady and Andrei Kirilenko the Raptors realized they needed a young point guard. Parker will be a nice fit for them, because he can score like a #2 option and still get 8 dimes a night.
-Ron Artest-Philadelphia...Artest joins Shawn Marion to form one of the best set of wings in the league. Marion and Artest are also flexible, being able to play 3 and 4 or 2 and 3.
-Lamar Odom-San Antonio...Vince Carter is the franchise player for the Spurs, so they really just need to add some complimentary pieces. LO will fit the bill perfectly. He can play 3 or 4, and put up 15 and 10 every night.
-Manu Ginobili-Phoenix...The Suns really need a center, and will probably consider taking Magloire, but in the end Manu is too good to pass up. Ginobili will fit in at shooting guard shifting Michael Finley to small forward. Ginobilis all aroung game is a huge draw for Suns management.
-Kenyon Martin-Memphis...The Grizz need an inside threat to compliment Ray Allen. KMart is a good fit because while has has some offensive game, hes more of a complimentary player. Martin and Posey should be a very good defensive combo at the forward spot.
-Joe Johnson-Miami...The Heat do not need more young wings, but they also cant pass on JJ. Johnson is a very good scorer who could even play some point guard. Heat management envisions a huge backcourt with Stephen Jackson at small forward, Richard Hamilton at shooting guard and Joe Johnson at point guard.
-Jamaal Magloire-Seattle...The Sonics have a nice young nucleus with Steve Nash, Jermaine O'Neal and Peja Stojakovic, so adding a young big man like Magloire makes alot of sense. magloire is raw, but could be a very nice center for the up and coming Sonics.
-Darius Miles-Portland...The Blazers need some bigs, but cant reach for it here so they take Miles instead. Miles should be a very nice defensive forward with the ability to finish on the break.
-Quentin Richardson-Indiana...The Pacers need a young compliment to Kevin Garnett, and Q should fit nicely. Richardson should be a solid scorer and help draw double teams away from KG.
-Mike Miller-New Orleans...The Hornets have a very nice young forward combination in Dirk Nowitzki and Rasheed Wallace, so getting a solid young shooting guard makes sense. Miller is a mediocre defender, but he should be a solid scorer for the Hornets in a couple years.
