Anyone watch the Lakers Cavs game today or Magic Celtics? Two close games. Who you think is better, Kobe or Lebron?

Is that a serious question? Kobe is already one of the best players who has ever played the game.

Lebron will be better in the end. He is so young still and what he did against the Pistons last year was incredible. Right now Kobe has the edge, but Lebron will become one of the best to ever play.

I have to go with the Nanzanator on this. Kobe is a machine and when he has talent on his team you can see how good the Lakers can be. He is only 29 and by the time he retires he will be in position to break the scoring record. Lebron has the potential to do that was well but Kobe still has the upper hand.

obviously kobe has the upper hand, he has already accomplished so much. i'm basing everything on my belief that lebron will ultimately accompish more. but its impossible to deny right now the fact that kobe is better. i really hope lebron passes him eventually, he doesn't rape girls.

First off Kobe was and is innocent of all of those charges. Second of all not even looking at what they have accomplished, right now Kobe is still the much superior player to Lebron.

sorry that was a low blow, i've just never liked kobe. so i guess im biased when i say lebron will ultimately have the better career. still, peter just showed me a stat...kobe has averaged 24.6 ppg in his career, lebron 27.0.

True that is a nice stat... However Kobe is the man and is a much better defender than lebron, shooter and everything. Hes also got 3 rings and a game where he scored 81 points on a come from behind win. Also, he scored 50+ points in 4 straight games. That is a nice stat peter gave but its a scoring stat, and when it comes to scoring, at the end of the day Kobe is arguably be the best scorer of all time.

Kobe is great not none will be better than Jordan, 30.1 PPG in the regular season and 33.4 in the post season. Heck the guy dropped 40 when he was 40!!! Always will be the greatest. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3tFagQbBX4

I know we are the only ones who post! Can we at least start an argument as to why the Big Unit can't throw 100. Dan, Pina, Lucky, anyone???

Also I would like to say R.I.P Gordon Hinckley, President of Church of Latterday Saints. He was 97 and led a good live. Oh and Fernando that what MLB Player you are doesn't work, I wanted Ruben...:C.
P.S. My roommate is listening to "I'm a Barbie Girl" at the moment.

you also are biased towards kobe. i understand that i likewise am biased against kobe. but i live in milwaukee, i've always hated chicago teams and i grew up despising the bulls and michael jordan. yet looking back on his career i recognize just how incredible he was. i know kobe is still amazing. anyone who puts up 71 points obviously has talent. and yet, michael jordan is untouchable. he won 6 championships in 8 years. yes kobe won 3 straight. but 3 is not 6. plus, kobe lost miserably to the pistons in '04. jordan won defensive player of the year, something kobe will never do. on top of it all, jordan is a complete class act. he never had any problems. kobe is always in some sort of feud, whether with phil jackson or shaq or the law or whatever. AND michael took years off for baseball and "retirement". imagine how much greater his stats would be without those breaks.

Kobe's VERY close to being a better player than MJ was, and LeBron doesn't touch him. At all. LeBron is bigger and harder to stop going to the basket. After that, nothing in his game nears what Kobe can do.

Jordan is great, the greatest . I do agree with that. Jordan is also a class act, but does that add to his game and his stats? No. Also he only took off one season, the 94-95 season, for baseball not seasons. He also had great players on his championship teams, like another top 50 player of all time, Pippen. Kobe had that with Shaq and won 3 straight, and i think even without shaq he will win another one (with bynum they did have the best record in the west) Kobe is also a great defender, just as good as Jordan was. Just like Kobe hasn't won an MVP yet does that make him any less of a player? Again No. I Don't wanna sound like i hate Jordan or anything, I Love MJ and right now he is the greatest to have touched a basketball. He was an incredible player, but to say he is untouchable or on another planet than Kobe, is just wrong.

Michael Jordan cheated on his wife, and was an enormous gambler. Can we stop repeating the same uninformed statement over and over?
