Beat the Ravens in OT.
Congrats, they definitely deserved it, they've had a brutal season.

I was pissed in '05 when the Jets won those games late in the year, keeping us out of a top 3 pick and Super Mario/VY/Bush... but I don't think there are any can't miss prospects this year that would be worth tanking for. Yeah, maybe McFadden but we have Thomas Jones. We just need to beef up our o-line so Jones will have some holes to run through. I'd rather see the team win a few games and gain momentum going into the offseason.

i don't know who the dolphins will take #1 though...they need some major overhaul. I think Porter is a piece of shit, Zach Thomas is going to retire, our secondary is garbage, Oline is shaping up but we would use another 1st round caliber lineman, QB ehhh I think we would be better going after Derek Anderson.

the patriots have the 49ers 1st round pick this year because the 49ers traded it to draft Joe Staley last year
im highly doubting the pats have the cap flexibility to take on a top 5 pick but they can trade it for a lot of picks this year or future picks easily

Oakland and Detroit tried it last year, but teams are less inclined nowadays to trade away a ton of picks while making a HUGE investment in one player. I think Miami is going to take Dorsey. And Derek Anderson will probably be out of reach.... either Cleveland resigns him to a long term deal or they tender him for a 1st and a 3rd round pick (he's a restricted FA)

They invested money into Quinn and if Anderson sucks next year they'll be stuck and it will be difficult to trade him. I expect them to put the franchise tag on him and keep him around for a year and let him and brady duke it out and if brady wins great if anderson wins great. If brady wins they shop DA big time.

Well Anderson is a RFA so they'll tender him for a 1st and 3rd round draft pick which is a hefty price. I don't think they will franchise him because I don't think anyone will be willing to part with picks that will take to get Anderson. If by the end of next year he doesn't have a long-term deal then they will franchise him. My point is that he isn't moving teams for at least another 2 years.
And i thought I heard them talking about him getting a long-term deal on one of the pregame shows this morning. Might be just rumor though.
