Completely irrelevant trade as far as I'm concerned. He's an average player at this point. I don't know much on the prospects.

He's a downgrade defensively from Adam Everett, and might be moved to third (with or without Everett). There are tons of shortstops who are better than he is/was defensively, though his arm is good.

I'm procrastinating from studying, reading up on the trade from both perspectives. Orioles fans don't really like it, and neither do Astros fans. Pretty funny.

haha, os get some decent young arms, and miggy should be good as an astro, they have a whole new team basically from trades this off season and signings.

Hopefully this kid Costanzo is pretty special because Albers and Patton suck.

i like the fact we traded tejeda, but i dont really like what we got in return. scott played almost every game in right, but he will probably will be starting in left with jay payton moving to center. luis hernandez didnt look too bad at short last season when tejeda went down, but i dont know too much about the pitchers. costanzo looks like he wasnt too bad in AA last season.

Patton is like a poor man's Carlos Silva in he has pretty good control but he doesn't have great stuff. In the AL East that is gonna equal disaster. Albers put up a 5.88 ERA in a Pitcher's ball park so that tells you something there.

makes sense for us to get shitty relief anyway... spending however much we spent last year and our bullpen absolutely sucked

this should have fucking happened 2 years ago... mets were sending milledge to the orioles, mets got oswalt, and the astros got tejada. the orioles backed out at the last minute.

Hernandez was great defensively and much better offensively than they had anticipated... one of the very few bright spots out that horrible farm system. At least you guys have Markasis to look forward to... gonna be one the best defensive RFers and will continue to improve his average

Markakis is the definition of mediocre, which explains why he's the cornerstone of Baltimore.

He'll be able to hit for average with 20 HR's a year while being on the top defensive RFers in the game... in both of his first two season he's finish the year on fire. He might not be a cornerstone player but he's much better than mediocre.
