Has anyone else ever finished 2nd two years in a row, or is Run DMC the first player to do so?

McFadden is indeed the first player to finish second in consecutive years. I feel like Tebow deserved it the most, and I'm glad that voters didn't hold it against him that he was only a sophomore.

Tebow deserved to win this award... had Dennis Dixon not gotten hurt and Oregon contined to play like it was he would have won by almost as many as Troy Smith last year

However, he still ended up 5th I believe and will be back next year to challenge Tebow. Next year should be an interesting race as Tebow, Dixon, and Daniel all return and should be Heisman frontrunners from the get-go.

I thought that I had heard ESPN say that McFadden was the only one to do it twice but obviously I heard wrong.

Dixon graduating just slipped my mind I guess.

Dixon is a senior. It'd be cool if he ended up being a part of the 'O' staff. That'd be cool, cuz Dixon is a great guy, and it sucks to see him go out like this. But congrats to Tibow, hell of a person.
