St. John's 3-0 Nova loses last night hahahahaha glad you posted about nova, rather flattering i'm on your mind, thanks they haven't looked to good, really I am being honest. Fisher looks very good but I'm not a Reynolds fan. He is so quick but he shoots 35% on a good day and with him as their leader this year, I'm not too confident. Their bigs are ehhh mediocre. Seton Hall looked so bad in their first few games but are impressing me of late with their defensive intensity. They are a very athletic team. Marquette looks awesome. Great mix of players and very athletic, great defensively. Cuse is going to struggle at times this year. I would like to see Flynn be more of a distributor than he has been. He has games where he doesn't get his first assist til 3 minutes left. WVU is a big question mark as Huggins said he doesn't plan on implementing an offense til conference play. (News courtesy of Jordan) Can Louisville be the dominant team without Padgett? St. John's is 3-0 against mediocre NEC talent so don't think I'm overly excited. I'm not painting a picture of them being atop of the Big East by any stretch but we've done this so far with Mason Jr. being out all 3 games and he is our best player so this is very encouraging.

yeah, we're young...and we don't have the next michael jordan in a burrell type player. we'll be good this year, but we'll be extremely good next year.

ruoff and butler look very good for wvu thus far... nichols is playing about the same level as the end of last year which isnt a bad thing since he is efficient... smalligan is fucking terrible... flowers alexander smith and mazzula all are still very inconsistent
for some reason huggins keeps playing walk ons that were amazing players in high school in wv but arent athletic enough to really do anything in d1

I've seen their last 3 games, and they haven't been that good. Fisher has been quite solid, and he could find his way into the SL at some point in the season if he continues to play like this. Shane Clark has also been really solid so far, averaging 13/7 a game in 27 minutes. The early season surprise has to be Casiem Drummond though, averaging 8.0 ppg & 9.8 rpg in only 21.6 mpg. I see us being a solid team, but don't see us getting past the 2nd round, if that.

joe alexander looked like a different player tonight for wvu... but he does that about 3 games a season and plays like an idiot for the rest so hopefully that continues
wvu started playing some offense (probably because of all the turnovers against tenn)
fast break offense looked good as well
this was against md eastern shore but things looked much more promising for the rest of the year

St. John's 4-0 Mason Jr. was back last night but re-aggravated it so who knows when he will be back.
Justin Burrell(who is in BBS draft class this year) had his third straight double double getting 19pts and 12 reb on 8 of 13 shooting with 2 blocks.
His first game he came out slow but since then over 15ppg and rebound totals of 11,14, and 12. All with 2 blocks a game. The kid is going to be a very good player and I think he has been underachieving so far. He has so much room to grow as a player but he is a beast.
Other news Cuse loses to UMass gives Cuse their 2nd loss of the season. They have 4 guys get over 20ppg scoring and shoot 56% and still lose. Cuse can definitely ball but this isn't the first time they looked soft on defense.
Seton Hall moves to 6-0 with a win over Princeton, I really like this team. I think Gause is the best defender in the Big East this guy has lightning hands.
