Minnesota has a good offensive line, particularly the left side. I'm not sure it's that much better than the Saints though overall if any. Deuce McAllister didnt seem to have any trouble finding holes last year did he? Bush is not an every down back, thats always been my point. He was'nt even an everydown back in college. The 2nd pick in the draft is too high for a good 3rd down back has always been my point pretty much. Will he have games where he makes big plays? Yep, I'm sure he will and he has. But if I'm taking a RB with the second pick in the draft I want a guy I can give the ball to 25-30 times a game running. And dont knock Taylor because he was a sixth rd pick. Lot of guys are late rd picks and excell. Terrell Davis was I think a 7th rd pick and Tom Brady was a sixth rd pick, and there's many more like that. It happens not infrequently in football. Good scouts can find the gems late in the draft. Yet you're knocking Bush over two seasons... no ONE and I mean no ONE expected Bush to be the feature back in his first seasons. Bush still has alot more potential than Peterson. You're facts don't satisfy the arguement you're trying to make. What are you talking about? When did I knock Taylor for being a 6th round pick... my point is before then what did he do in his career? Bush has a lot more potential than Peterson? I think facts satisfy it rather well actually up to this point. Reggie Bush stats Rushing- 113 att 434 yds 3.8 avg 22 longest 3 TD's Receiving- 50 cth 277 yds 5.5 avg 25 longest 2 TD's Adrian Peterson stats Rushing-158 att 1036 yds 6.6 avg 73 longest 8 TD's Receiving-12 cth 206 yds 17.2 avg 60 longest 1 TD Now which of these players look the best? Is there really even an argument here?

Sure, fantasy wise I'll take Peterson in a heart beat, but if I was a real-GM I'll take Bush. If you go by stats, Michael Turner is among the "worst" RBs in the league, but anyone who knows football and watches football knows the kid can be the #1 RB on most any team.

He's LT's backup right? I havent seen enough of Turner. I'm not going just by stats, though I dont know how you can just discount them.
I look at how Peterson runs with a passion and it generally takes more than one guy to bring him down. And he is very much a big play threat. I think your argument is the big play threat of Bush but geez man look how many long runs AP has had. Those count bro.
I've been watching football a long time man and probably have a better eye in talent there than any other sport since it's my first love. But stats can tell you things just as much as watching the player.
For example, look at Bush's avg per catch. If he was as elusive as he's portrayed it should be much higher. When you catch balls you generally are catchin them in space as the term goes. If you have elusiveness you should break a few. His longest is 25 yards. Thats not really that good for 50 catches. Peterson's longest is 60 yards and he has 38 fewer catches so he is on surface not as good as Bush but if thrown to more I'm betting he'd break more.
And really here's what makes what Peterson more amazing. Have you seen their receivers? Their QB? I think both positions are under the average at those positions. The defenses are keying almost solely on AP. Yet he still is dominating. Tell you what, put Peterson on NO and I bet you Payton gets him the ball a ton there on swing passes and he breaks many as well to probably geting better running lanes since you do have to respect the Saints passing the ball.
We are just gonna have to agree to disagree. I'd still take AP in a heartbeat over Bush.
