Probably the 2 best RB's in the league were on the same field today, LT is still the best, but AP is gonna give him a run for his money soon.

i got him in most of my leagues...
i was so pissed when redskins took landry since from everything i read vikings choices were going to be 1. landry 2. peterson
and there were a few rumors the packers were trading up to get him if he fell past vikings... oh well

either way Landry or Peterson are going to be sick players.

Peterson is just insane. If Brady wasn't having such a great season, Peterson could very well be in contention for the MVP.
I have him on 2 of my fantasy teams and he's carrying them both.
I've never seen a rookie do what he's doing

Well thank goodness Chester Taylor had such a good season last year which is why Peterson fell past the 6th round in most leagues. I am very happy I have him in my money league.
Moss, Welker, LT, Chambers, Roy Williams are also pretty good team mates of his on my fantasy squad

OK, not to beat a dead horse per the other thread refering to Bush once again bballsim06.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=offtopic&action=display&thread=1191206224but when you draft a RB in top 5 this is what he's supposed to look like. He was drafted 7 so thats not even top 5 but you could see the power in college and just ability to hit that extra gear in the open. He's special. I'm a Texas fan and when we used to watch Texas when Benson was there and Peterson's first year we used to hear announcers talk about how great both were and we couldnt believe it, I mean I'm a Horn fan but comparing Benson and him was'nt close to us. Peterson you could see the special ability from day one. And like I said Bush may turn out to be an ok back but I just dont think he has the toughness to be a great one. Watch Bush run then watch Peterson, Bush tries to run like Barry Sanders but isnt near as elusive so it doesnt work. Peterson is the real deal as long as he stays healthy, that the main reason he dropped to 7.

Peterson loves to run in-between the tackles While Bush loves to run to the outside. Bush is a much better receiver at this point and even a better blocker. Peterson benefits from a very very good and extremely underrated OL. Last time I checked Chester Taylor was a nobody last season until he rushed for over 1,200 yards. You think it’s all about the RB? You’re wrong. I’m not saying you’re wrong about Peterson, but you have to take into account everything. Oh and last time I checked.. Bush has been playing phenomenally during this 4 game New Orleans winning streak.

And my reference to Cedric Benson was that basically we used to laugh at the announcers talking him up. He was a high pick tho and thats bad scouting to me on the Bears part. I just never saw the explosion a RB needs in the NFL from Benson. Those plodding guys in college dont translate to the pro game well. Ron Dayne was another one like that.

I'm not sure it's that much better than the Saints though overall if any. Deuce McAllister didnt seem to have any trouble finding holes last year did he? Bush is not an every down back, thats always been my point. He was'nt even an everydown back in college. The 2nd pick in the draft is too high for a good 3rd down back has always been my point pretty much. Will he have games where he makes big plays? Yep, I'm sure he will and he has. But if I'm taking a RB with the second pick in the draft I want a guy I can give the ball to 25-30 times a game running. And dont knock Taylor because he was a sixth rd pick. Lot of guys are late rd picks and excell. Terrell Davis was I think a 7th rd pick and Tom Brady was a sixth rd pick, and there's many more like that. It happens not infrequently in football. Good scouts can find the gems late in the draft.

I got Peterson in the 3rd round of my 14-man league, and gave me 48 points yesterday. I love his running style, and even though it seems like a stretch, 2000 yards is possible for him.

Bush still has alot more potential than Peterson. You're facts don't satisfy the arguement you're trying to make. What are you talking about? When did I knock Taylor for being a 6th round pick... my point is before then what did he do in his career?
