It's a gimmick. He's a solid guy. This isn't a gimmick. He might be a solid guy by doing things off the court which I obviously salute him for, but on the court and what he says is no gimmick. The guy cheated in Halo 3 by boosting his EXP points. He might have good intentions but he is a clown.

The guy cheated in Halo 3 by boosting his EXP points. He might have good intentions but he is a clown. It's a self-touting gimmick and he does the persona well because he has a good amount of self-love. So what? He lights up the box score when he was originally an afterthought in his draft class. Now he's having fun and drawing attention to himself. He's an intelligent guy who knows how to excite people. The Halo thing is nonsense. Who cares, really? He didn't actually cheat others, he just boosted his status on Halo 3. Think of all the athletes who would never be so public with their accounts and would never engage others like he does.

He gave his fans an autographed jersey and one of his shoes autographed for $25. I think that he's a pretty good guy.

I think the article makes sense. I have every reason to dislike Gilbert, and I dont. He has an odd vendetta against the Warriors considering he left, and the Warriors wouldve done whatever possible to kep him, but couldnt, but other then that I think hes one of the better players around.
He is a weird dude, but I dont think anything he said here is out of line, or unreasonable.

In the Washington/Boston game they mentioned how Arenas picked between signing with the Clippers or the Wizards buy actually flipping a coin.

I agree with him though. Kobe needs to be realistic. No team is going to get him cheap, they are going to have to trade all their good players for him, then they will be left with shit + Kobe.

Detroit is the perfect situation for Kobe. Rip+Tay for Kobe. Pistons are the favorites in the East with that team, and the Lakers get two very good players. Not sure if I'd do it anyway, but that might satisfy both sides.
