The answer is C : All of the above. Came to New York on the biggest deal in baseball history trying to prove he wasn't a complete loser. Never proved it and had the two worst seasons of his career as a Yankee. Leaves over money, displays no leadership, embarrasses himself for probably his 100th and thankfully the final time of his career with the Yanks. His apologists will prevail when his cumulative stats set records. But nobody who witnessed the ARod debacle will remember him for anything else.

I think the Giants could throw an offer for ARod out there, but I'm not sure they should. ARod would be great in SF, but they have too many holes to fill to spend 30 mill on 1 guy.

i heard the marlins might be a stop for arod..he gets to go home and then the marlins get a better chance to build a new staduim...arod and miggy would be a scary 3 4...i can deff see this happen if the marlins are willing to offer the money...

I've read the Tigers are huge darkhorses. Dont have a huge payroll and need a stud hitter and their owner is loaded. I think they'll make a srong play.
And I hate Arod, but to place all the postseason losses on him is a little much. Jeter hasnt exactly been Mr Clutch lately, and lets face it. That geritol rotation is a bigger problem than Arod. Much as I dislike him he's still probably the best all around player in the game.
There'll be plenty of bidders for him.

I love arod but when you have a guy papi and even manny right next door and they are hitting 500 in the postseason and doing just as well, or have done just a well in the regualr season as arod, to even think that they might be making half what arods makes? ridiculous. You can ask anyone around that knows me, i have never bashed arod or have said anything bad about him i have always stood by his side; but now when he knows that people judge and bash him becuase they said hes to being paid way to much for the way he performs in the psotseason why would go try to get more people against you by asking for a 30+ plus million contract? I know its business but god this is ridiculous, go ahead leave the yankees, yuo will never be on another team with as much history and greatness as the New York Yankees.

"yuo will never be on another team with as much history and greatness as the New York Yankees."
I don't ever agree with this kind of thing. I think it's just a holier than thou way of looking at a sports team. That idea is purely to Yankee fans; outside of Yankee fans, no one really cares. Would Manny's career been better off had he spent the last 7 years (and in total, 8) with the Yankees? No, absolutely not. You might think of him differently because you're a Yankee fan, but in the grand scheme of things, being a "Yankee" is something Yankee fans and management play up to entice a player to come (or to chastise a player for leaving). A-Rod is a prick and a loser, but it has much less to do with the Yankee aspect, as far as I'm concerned.
Whether it's true or not (well, it is true, they've won the most championships, etc etc), it is just overplayed. I'm not even commenting on A-Rod as much as just in general. PB and I were talking about this a week or two ago, and he said something along the lines of "I just don't see why he wouldn't want to be in monument park". Monument park? Who gives a shit! No one outside of Yankee fans gives a shit about monument park. To me, it is absurdly tacky, only topped by Clemens touching Babe Ruth's monument before starts (I don't even remember if he did it this year or not). He left for more money; it happens. It is just being blown up here because he is the biggest player on the biggest stage, and already had the biggest contract. He didn't need to leave, and he did; he used Torre's departure (and the potential departures of others) as an easy escape clause for leaving. He's a joke, and everyone knows it. But this Yankee mystique bullshit is played up way too often. You know, maybe sometimes, the guy doesn't give a crap about the aura of the almighty Yankees? I'm sorry, but the idea of it is thrown out so often, it gets irritating.
God, who is this Nanz guy, what a prick. Ship him out of town with A-Rod.

False. And minus my met reference, there is really no defense against marks argument. Im not just going along with him just because hes mark (intelligent motha fucker), but he really makes a great point that is true, without a doubt, and i feel like yankee fans subconciously agree.
