Either would help, but Id prefer Varejao.
Biedrins-Foyle-Perovic-O'Bryant Harrington-Gooden-Lasme Jackson-Barnes Pietrus-Ellis-Belinelli Davis-??

Sounds like the Warriors really got screwed in not trading for KG. Would have made the J Rich trade make some sense but right now it looks awful even though I think B Wright will be a fine player.
I really don't get why the Celtics want KG. They may be able to win the East, the Cavs did, but they still will get crushed. Sending away Al Jefferson who is already a double double guy and can easily get 20+ points next year and Gerald Green who played well last year and will improve this year is not a good move. Your left with Pierce, Allen, and KG and nothing else. No Wally, Delonte, Green, etc. They will hurt for points without a player like Green or West. The big 3 can't score all the time. I just hope that Rando and Perkins have breakout years next year.
I think it makes much more sense for the Warriors to acqiure KG. Heck I don't get why the Timberwolves want Thronton over Wright so much. Wright has the chance to be a franchise player, Thronton will not. The Warriors have a lot of young talent that they can spare and still be very very dangerous.
IDK I just think the Celtics will have shot themselves in the foot with this deal. It's all or nothing. If they don't win a championship they are screwed because they have no up and coming players to make a huge difference.

The Celtics are a mess IMO. They should have stayed with youth. But even in the youth they've acquired they've really screwed a lot up. Trading for Telfair was dumb, but they still have a lot of great young pieces. i would've sent out PP for more youth or picks and just told fans that its gonna be rough for a couple years, but were going with youth.
After getting Allen they are now forced to overpay for a veteran big, otherwise that Allen trade is 100X worse.

As for Wright, I think he'll be a solid player, but not a franchise guy. He's closer to Stro Swift then he is to Chris Bosh.

do you think maybe ellis would start over pietrus? you gotta have a spark but if monta improves it would be damn tempting.
