So he is going to be with the Magic for sure then or that is what they are offering him?
I was hoping to see him stay in Seattle. I really wanted to see him, Durant, and Green play together. It would have been very very interesting to watch.

I see he has agreed to sign with them.
Hmm, how much better is Rashard than Hedo? Both put up very similar stats. But both have different games.
The Magic should be pretty good with Neslon, Hedo, Lewis, Howard. They need to re-sign Darko or add another good big and they will be looking pretty nice.

Darko is gone. Must've renounced his rights to get Lewis, unless it's a s&t.

I feel Shard will thrive in Orlando. If he was in an east coast city the past few seasons, I believe he would have received much more publicity for his skills on the court.
I had the chance to watch him many times due to the west coast games, and he just had some amazing games. A real matchup problem.

There's a rumor out there saying the Magic and Sonics agreed on a sign and trade, giving Shard a contract now worth 6 years, 126.4 Mil.

wait why would orlando agree to give shard 50M more dollars than they could have, and give seattle players on top of all that? i don't get that. Only a 2nd. ------------------------------------------- With the Magic being key players in this month's free-agent sweepstakes, their imminent acquisition of coveted small forward Rashard Lewis has been all the buzz of the summer league. Lewis' agent, Tony Dutt, was at the camp Monday, finalizing the negotiations with the Magic. Lewis is expected in town Wednesday, the first day that free agents can sign contracts, to ink a six-year megadeal with the Magic. Orlando has agreed to a sign-and-trade deal with the Seattle SuperSonics that will allow Lewis to make $126.4 million over the next six seasons, according to NBA sources who requested anonymity. The Magic will send back a second-round pick to the Sonics. With the 2007-08 salary cap set Tuesday night at $56.63 million, Lewis' first-year salary with the Magic will be $16.68 million -- the maximum allowable for a player with nine years of NBA experience. From there, he'll get 10.5 percent annual raises. That will take the deal to a mind-boggling $25.2 million for the 2012-13 season. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=orlandosummerleaguesday2

i love shard, but that is stupid. i hope he produces enough that nobody ends up complaining about his deal, but that's a lot of money to live up to.

No longer a rumor. Its official. Sonics got a good deal, they get to laugh at Shards ridiculous contract and get a 2nd

i'm sure that 2nd will pay off 0 dividends. i just don't get why it had to be done that way.

Won't the Sonics get a trade exception out of this now too?
