According to Jim Gray and the LA Times, a 4 team deal involving the Lakers, Celtics, T-Wolves, and the Pacers is "close" to happening.
Lakers get Kevin Garnett
Pacers get Lamar Odom and Andruw Bynum
T-Wolves get #5 Pick and Al Jefferson
Celtics get Jermaine Oneal

I think the Celtics get the worst of it, but they need a big man to pair with PP I guess.
Wolves get Jefferson, 2 top 10 picks, to go with Foye.
Pacers get Odom and Bynum. Im guessing Odom would be on the move shortly thereafter.
Lakers would be pretty tough with Kobe and KG.

TWolves could end up with Jefferson-Jianlin-Brewer-Foye. Not too shabby.

Great deals for LA & Indiana, but not a fan of it for Minny; they should be able to get more than that for KG. Solid for Boston I guess, but it doesn't make all that much sense given their current roster make-up.

Heard on ESPN just now though, that Celtics want more in this deal and then it will happen.

modification of deal would probably have to be gerald green or a nice young talent from boston in place of Al Jeff.

KG playing C? mihm/brown suck.

Post by Spencer on Jun 25, 2007 17:22:42 GMT -5
Mihm would probably start at C. KG at PF.

eh still don't like the looks of the bigs for LA in this deal. what are you talking about? we have no bigs now. bynum is not good enough at his age to be an effective starting C if you're looking for a serious playoff run. and odom is really a small foward, not a power foward. so essentially we lose bynum, who wasnt starting for us @ C anyway, and all of the sudden something in our front court has changed for the worse? and mihm/brown are servicable starters. when you have kobe and kg, who can you expect the lakers to have @ C? camby or somethin? obviously at best around these two it will be just role players. stop acting like you know what your talking about.

That means KG has to be Pippen and Ho Grant. Thats gonna be tough. Also a name no one has mentioned is Ronnie Turiaf....I have been waiting for this guy to get more time. Love his energy off the bench and he always produces

forget about him, but can luke walton be good in huge minutes? and i still think they need an upgrade at the 1 to go far.

this is such a shitty trade man... IMO everyone gets screwed except for the Pacers, and that is only because I think Odom makes a nice #1-A scorer and would work pretty damn well with Jim O'Brien there. Otherwise it would suck for everyone.

boston gets fucked in that deal... which is why they are asking for more
got to like what it does for all the other teams imo
Twovles get 2 more pieces to build around (KG is gone after he opts out so they need to move him now and i dont see anyone offering much more than jefferson and #5)
Lakers get another stud beside Kobe though i think KG is a bit overrated now
Pacers get Bynum and Odom both of who i like but like spencer said... odom would probably be gone soon

Its not a bad deal for all, Brown was starting to do very well before he got hurt. So if Mihn cant go we would be fine. Plus the Lakers woudl still have the 19th pick not bad for them.
