i don't know how it was a split decision... mayweather definitely won
it was a closer fight then i expected and de la hoya would have won if he would have kept using jab but he didn't...
de la hoya landed like 120 punches while mayweather landed 210 or so and de la hoya threw about 100 more punches

i didn't see one person on tv say de la hoya should have won... and i didnt see one reason he should of unless having 80% of his punches blocked is a good thing

i didn't see one person on tv say de la hoya should have won... and i didnt see one reason he should of unless having 80% of his punches blocked is a good thing absolutely...the entire crowd was behind de la hoya, anything he threw that resembled a connection drew oohhhs and ahhhs from the crowd. mayweather blocked everything he threw, and he picked off de la hoya bit by bit...really looking forward to the rematch

Really not happy with Oscar about this fight though. He's got a lot of Sugar Ray Leonard in him fighting once a yr.
I'd rather see Sugar Shane and Mayweather fight as most hard core boxing fans would I think and Oscar being Shane's promoter and fighting him instead is he really looking out for Shane's best iterests? I've been wanting to see them fight a long time. I think Sugar Shane might beat Mayweather, and if he didnt it should be hell of a fight.

Mayweather was more efficient.
De La Hoya landed the more power punches, thus why it was a "split-decision."

I heard the judges got the color of the corners mixed up so there scorer wasnt correct and Hoys's legal department are having it checked out.
