For a while the only thing I listened to was rap/hip-hop, then all of a sudden it got really shitty, and I started listening to only rock type stuff. In my opinion, Rap and Hip-Hop are pretty strong right now.
What are your top 5 favorite current rappers?
1) Young Jeezy 2) T.I. 3) Game 4) Lil' Wayne 5) Young Buck
Honorable Mention: DJ Khaled (Doesn't really count since all of his songs have 10 other rappers in them)
I'd say 2 years ago it was:
1) Kanye 2) Jay-Z 3) Eminem
Anybody have any suggestions of some songs to download?

er.. well... eminem, ti are my 2 favorite the past few years... i really don't even bother with anyone else's albums... don't really have other fav's but i consider rap to have become pretty much more and more garbage with each year(including my favorite artists). which is pretty much a shame because i don't care for other music much. 50, jay and dmx are others i like, if 5 is a must.

I must say, im a lil disappointed that Hernando likes Young Buck. I think most of all of G-Unit is trash now, including 50 even before i heard his new single "Straight to the Bank". Right now my favorite 5 rappers are:
1- Jay-Z 2- Nas 3- The Game 4- Kanye West 5- Lupe Fiasco
I think if I had to give honorable mention id say T.I. and Lil Wayne because they are so hot right now. Jeezy is alrite too but I dont like "go getta" with R Kelly.

i think i started being sick of TI once he was in EVERY FREAKIN SONG/REMIX. my gosh i can't stand it anymore.
his Trap Musik album was sick when he first went commercial, i knew he would be huge soon as i heard it through. and urban legend was straight... king was better... but it just seems like ever since his popularity went way up his gimmick is too played out for me. still like his own music though.

Ya, I put Buck on my list because hes one of my top 5, right now. Definitely wouldn't be close if he was on my overall list. His newest cd, like bizzle said, is suprisingly good and he has a really hot song off some mixtape called "Homeboys." As far as "big shit poppin" goes, i dont really like that song, but his newest song released from his next cd is called "No Sweat," is really really good. Here are 3 songs I just uploaded for you guys. T.I. - No Sweat www.sendspace.com/file/05te2jYoung Buck - Homeboys www.sendspace.com/file/i1x87kGame (ft. Nas Canibus The Roots MF Doom Royce Da 5'9" Martinez, not sure if you've heard about this concert, but it's at Randall's Island in late July, seems like it would be the concert for you. I'm going to the one the day before because they just made this 2nd date, but the 2nd date seems better than the first. www.rockthebells.net/images/RTB_NY_7.29.gifThe Roots, Cypress Hill, Rakim, MF Doom, Wu-Tang, Talib, Public Enemy, and much more.
