what has melo done? if you put him on there you have to put lebron on there, pierce, mcgrady, allen, walker, jamison...they all score too just like melo the question is who will be a hall of famer. obviously carmelo isn't one right now. also as i said, i just quoted the guys he was listing, because the question was referring to only them... so that's why lebron for instance wasn't listed.

My point being what has Carmelo even done to warrant consideration? He is a scorer much like the big dog, mashburn or more currently Paul Pierce. Are those guys HOF? I think I just am holding a higher standard then you. If he develops his game into a more well rounded basis like a Scottie Pippen then we can talk but Melo is no way near a defender nor is he a great passer or rebounder.

how can u say no to horry he's won where ever he has gone and he has a highlight reel of clutch shots he may not be a shoe in but i think hes a sentimental pick

Alonzo Mourning Carmelo Anthony Ray Allen Yao Ming Dwyane Wade Allen Iverson Dirk Nowitzki Kevin Garnett Tim Dunan Jason Kidd Steve Nash Chris Paul Amare Stoudemire Dwight Howard Chauncey Billups Ben Wallace Shaquille Oneill Tracy McGrady Kobe Bryant
only guy i excluded was mutumbo. don't think he put up as solid numbers as Zo did for a big man. and horry was only really useful for big shots, not much else. Carmelo i think will continue to improve on this year which has been fabulous and definitely be considered a Hall of Famer. The rest are pretty much given hall of famers.

If VC can put up 5 more solid years of like 25 ppg and 6 or 7 rbds and a good fg% then i would give him more consideration.

as goes for redd, eh i dunno. he's basically just a scorer, at least allen can dish the ball at the times. I think agent zero should get in, he has put up solid numbers his entire career so far. LBJ is as automatic in as you can get, and he still can be better than he is now, how insane is that?

Melo avg 20ppg his first 2 seasons...his rebounding numbers have been on a steady decline in his three seasons in the league. Look at Glenn Robinson's numbers at least he had numbers better than Melo with rebounding, assists, steals and did it over a 10 yr span. Is the Big dog hall of fame material...I don't think so. I just don't buy into the fact that Carmelo is mentioned in the same breathe as the Hall of Fame.

He did it at Syracuse and I think with that right supporting cast, he could do it in the NBA. Doesnt mean its gonna happen, but it could. Obviously when you look at any players under 25 or 28 its gonna take some projection.

i agree its more on your own accomplishments than actually what your team does, like winning a championship. but they both still factor.

to me carmelo has proven to be more than a scorer(not to mention a better scorer too) this season. if he averages like 30-5-5 for x amount of time(he has 31-5-4 this year i think?), then he's going to be considered.

If Melo keeps improving like his game like he showed in the season before his stupid fighting incident he should make the hall of fame plus his age helps coming in alot earlier then others. So his career overall numbers will be alot higher. There is a ton of guys int he HOF baised on mostly just scoring.
