Very hard to enforce. Wouldnt want to let a good GM go who is trying to rebuild. I do like the idea of a some sort of incentive to try and win.

How about if they fail to do either of these things, Spence has the right to terminate them. I don't like the idea of a blanket rule, because if a guy is active and has a long history in the league, well, I don't think it would be worth it to fire Lumley.

Cap restrictions are better, IMO.
Even though it plays into their hands a little, I think an owner would be tight on his money until the team started to perform.

i don't like the idea of teams trying to lose when they have their own pick either unless their team is shit. Also a top lotto pick 2 yrs in a row should help a team to win 35 games

If there is a league council, they could veto any of these stars for pick(s) and expiring deals. People should at least be getting some talented youth for most stars.

Ive always thought about trying to make it so that your team needed to be profitable. Something like 1 million dollars a win. 2 million for a playoff win. 5 million for a title. Add up all that cash and subtract your salary total. As long as you were always + in cash, you were good.

i like the idea of the cash because it's incentive to win and not lose or at least if a gm is tanking he could be put on some sort of probation?

upgrades or 1st round picks could be taken away if the team is tanking

And perhaps teams could trade cash in deals too, to subtract/add to their situation if this was enforced.
I guess I wouldn't mind regulating it if we had something concrete.
There'd need to be ironclad consequences though.

I'd keep track of the cash if you want. Would take like an hour every season. No big deal.

I'd keep track of the cash if you want. Would take like an hour every season. No big deal. this must be an innovative feature to sim leagues....if jah can do it, plus we come up with a set of rules, this can be an amazing feature

Sorry but I think having a win rule sucks, especially the ones up there.
As for the cash thing, that could work.
