Hawks Trade:
Yao Ming Tyler Hansbrough Glen Davis Mantas Kalnietis
Jazz Trade:
Dirk Nowitzki Tony Battie
I agree, i massively overpay, but i am sure this will produce more wins.
We want to run an outside system, but that doesn't allow us to utilize yao to his fullest abilities. My goal was to trade yao for a center who can play some d, and also acquire either a stud sg or pf.
Dirk fits our outside offense perfectly and should be a nice addition to our team. I don't really like giving hansbrough, davis, or kalnietes, but they won't really see minutes in our 8 man rotation of walton-greene-bargs-dirk-battie with brand backing up the 4/5, dudley backing up the 3, and law baking up the 1/2.
I think the jazz get the upper hand value wise, but i am really liking our lineup right now
Nice deal Mark

Yao has more years left then Dirk and Davis is looking like he should be at least a very good backup so I like this more for the Jazz
Jazz have great frontcourt depth now... not sure if I like idea of them starting Renardo at SF fulltime but it shoul work for the most part

Love it for Utah.
It's not bad for Atlanta, but I just don't see it leading to more wins.

I honestly think this makes me the best team in the west, my Butler + Yao deals. Now my lineup will be: Monta/Butler/Webster/Sidney/Yao, with plenty of depth. I really like that a lot. I always sit back and never take any risks with my teams, so it's time I start doing it. I didn't touch my future core, and actually saved some money, both this year, and in the future (Yao makes 4 million less than Dirk next year, every other player involved is an expiring). Going to run my finances to make sure I'm not over the hardcap with either deal, but that's just a double check, because I did it last night and it was fine. Great dealing Skillz, thanks a lot. Really excited for this team. I'm very happy to get it done early enough in the season that I can tinker with DCs for the playoffs.

Utah definitely has a sick team now, I'm not sure if it makes them the best, as Denver is pretty good, but these last two deals definitely make them better.
I also really like it for Utah because they can probably turn around and package Butler & Davis for an upgrade at SG, to make themselves even better.

With this trade alone (not the deal with the Sonics), my 15 man roster should come together at.. 92,989,417! Ha!
Skillz' 12 man roster with this trade should come to 91,546,930. Both look good.

Yup, definitely plan on looking to make a package deal somewhere. Those two contracts add to max money, so we'll see.

Ewwwwwww for skillz..........ooo la la for mark. I think Dirk is done while Ming is still a dominant center which there are only a handful of dominant centers in the league and skillz just dealt 2 away in as many days. I think Hansbrough and Davis are great bench players too while Battie is the guy that people say "He's still in the league?"
I hope this works out for Skillz I think he is a very good up and coming GM but his lack of focus and patience gets the best of him sometimes.
