Magic get Shawn Marion
Spurs get Celts 1st+Lowry
Move a lot here, but I'm a big Marion fan. No room for Lowry as Jennings is the clear future at PG, and Marion is a total beast who I've liked for awhile. Willing to deal the Celts 1st because this draft isn't very good, IMO.
I'm hoping to bring in a few more guys through potential trades and FA to compliment Marion, but I love adding him to Greene and Jennings. I expect big things from them.

I also love weakening the Spurs.

Accept. Really like Lowry and hopefully he can contribute at a high level when given minutes.

I actually really like this for the Spurs. Marion has not been the same the past few seasons as he is getting up in age. They add a nice PG and a top 10 pick? Can't really complain about that.

I think the pieces he's giving up are pretty overrated. Lowry's good, but on a shitty contract, and blocked by Jennings. The pick really isn't that big of a deal. Top 5 picks are huge, after that it's pretty much a crapshoot. Adding Marion without losing any of his cap space is huge. Jennings, Green, Marion + 1 or 2 big name FAs should at least put him in the hunt for the playoffs next year.

I'm not a big fan of Lowry, so naturally I like this more for the Magic, but it's solid both ways.

spurs just raped the magic wait, what? marion is B/B/A/B+...do you have any idea how good of a player that is? most versatile guy at his position next to marvin...i'm pretty sure that's not a big price considering a) lowry hasn't proven he can start and b) the 10th pick this year offers nothing special

I mean, it's OK to think I got the worse end of the deal, but rape? I don't see it. Lowry's on a huge deal, whereas Marion's been the centerpiece of one of the West's best teams for the duration of the league, practically.

I like Marion however with Jennings on your team, I don't see the point in adding an ageing 'star'.

Great for the Spurs, Marion won't even be playing in 2 years, and they get a top 10 pick along with their starting PG over the next 5+ years.
