Hawks Trade:
Gerald Wallace
Brad Miller
Chuck Hayes
Lakers Trade:
Boris Diaw
Joakim Noah
Lakers 2012 1st
RC by this offseason (I already traded one to him, so you can cancel this)
Agreed
Here me out before passing judgement on this one...
We've been on a trading frenzy lately, and even though I didn't intend to make this many deals, I think I've gotten better in each and every one. Picking up Yao and JRich at very managable prices is going to be huge to our success as I think we benefited greatly in thos deals. However, although we upgraded big time in talent, we got away from our inside system. Wallace's value is at an all-time high, as he averaged 18.7 pts as a 1/2 option in an inside system, but I'm worried that he'll have trouble in the new balanced focus. Not only this, but Wallace is out for 14 more days, of which we have 14 games....a crucial stretch of time.
Diaw may be overpayed, but he only has 2 years left and fits our balanced offense perfectly with B B offense. Noah will also bring a lot to our team off the bench, as his versatility is very nice.
This gives us so much more depth than before, as Ariza can finally move to the bench....Noah can also backup multiple positions.
I don't like giving Brad, but I think we can make up for that with the rest of our bench
Nice dealing
This should be the last of our trading for the year unless we get an upgrade at pf or trade for an expiring to prevent us from going over the harcap next year....no more of these blockbusters. We're going to find a dc that works and run with it
