C-Ming PF-Bogut
to Miami for
C- Swift C- Hibbert PF-Arthur SF-Yuyang 1 RC
Ming has held up his end but the other guys are sluffing. Lets get a little youth and run like I like to do.

Another one that I think is bad for both. Arthur is an OK scorer, but it's basically him and LeBron in Miami, and outside of offense, he's very mediocre. Really sucks that Dallas has so much tied up on Swift, now. If they got an expiring instead of Swift, I'd like this for them.
Meanwhile, Miami is going absolutely nowhere. Yao and LeBron have no supporting cast, and they have no firsts any time soon.

He seemed to really blow it up last year when he had Iggy, Meka and Livingston I believe. They weren't great, but they could defend, which is what I think he needs to put around James.

I also feel like Greg gave up more for Yao, then he got.

Dealing AI and Meka for major downgrades is what hurt him. Couldn't he have had Liv/AI/LeBron/Meka/Hibbert or Swift? That's a really good lineup.

He dealt 100 minutes off of his starting frontcourt. Pretty amazing.

Pretty much agree, I think it sucks for both, but since Yao is far and away the best player in the deal, I'd have to give the edge to Miami.

I actually gave both these guys interesting offers today, for what it's worth.
Offered Dallas Boston 1st+Cisse for Yao. I understand him not doing this, though I think it would've benefited his cap flexibility and his future by adding a lotto pick.
Offered Kev Cisse+Jennings+Greene for LeBron. I thought it's the kind of deal Kev needs to make to build something good. I also understand him not doing this, but I think it's a better move than adding Yao because there isn't much hope to win anything.
Do think both my offers benefit each guy more than the deals they went with.

I offered for LeBron too. I think he should move him honestly, and start over. LeBron/Yao isn't going to win when some teams are as loaded as they are.

I wonder how much LeBron would score on your team if you got someone to take DeShawn.

I'd offer Sidney and Horford. I don't know why I'm so eager to get rid of Sidney, but I want fucking Bron or Durant.

Kev ignored one PM from me today, and shot the other down with just 'nah'. Kind of annoying.

Aaron, what'd you get in exchange for that pick? Was it just a throw in from a deal from a while ago?

I hated this deal when I did it. Panicked, tried hard and got Redd back. Then I decided no matter what, this deal doomed my future, so I dealt Baron to the Clippers. Got back Ricky D, Curry, Ridnour and a lotto 1st Dealt the lotto for Ben. Dealt Ricky and something I'm forgetting for Hinrich and Maxiell. I liked what I did after that trade, but I'm feeling the repercussions now. Gave up two awesome 1sts.

Just considering I didn't know Aldridge wasn't going to be THIS good, at the time the trade seemed pretty even to me... enough to think about it for 5 hours or whatever it was.
And the status of the picks is high now but at the time both teams had contended(ORL, CLE) and Orlando won a championship between then and now, so shit just happens but that's why I like dealing for futures.
Personally I'd take years of failure and 1 ship over a consistently competitive team that only MIGHT win one. The trade ultimately led to good things for both sides imo.

Trade resulted in good things for me, but it wasn't a good trade for me.
I remember why I did it. I was getting pressure from DJ and Spence to win, because even though I'd made the playoffs one season prior, I'd only won 41 games. I decided I'd get a superstar, and fucking Hernando was always trying to package Diaw and someone else good for Aldridge. I didn't want to wait 2-3 seasons on Aldridge, Thabo and Felton (happy I dealt those two, because I definitely expected more out of them), so I dealt for Baron. Eh.
