Hes in the East. Nuff said. Its a different ball park. The East is top-heavy... East has the Pistons, Knicks, and Bulls, and the good years from Raptors/76ers/Bucks. The truth is teams like the Celts, Heat, Hawks, Bucks, are usually making the playoffs and they aren't any better than the 5-8 teams in the West. The Bucks are much better then all but 2 teams in the West. The Heat are a top 5 team int he West. I was in the East last year, and its tough.

Heat may be top 5 now, but out of the past 5 years, they've been at the bottom of the league for 3 out of them.

This all cycles back to Nova inability to deal youth for older players, that's all it is. The only reason I won a championship is because I traded youth for veteran's or went after veteran's in TC. I was sick of just sitting on teams. Nova has said time over time that he dosen't want to do this.

i got frustrated that i couldn't get a big man to add to my squad at a reasonable price... I'll admit that was a pretty bad trade

I love how almost all my trade threads turn into 2-3 page discussions.

Pig won the championship in 1 season after being the worst team in the league and having all expirings. Nova hasn't reached the playoffs yet. I personally don't see how a team (not just the Hornets) can go under .500 for more than 2 or 3 seasons in a row, when not blatantly attempting to tank. Hes in the East. Nuff said. Its a different ball park. Such nonsense. Nova could have had Curry easily. Pig had balls and got him. That's the difference.

Right, because a lineup of Leandro Barbosa-Ronnie Brewer-Marvin Williams-Serge Ibaka-Eddy Curry would have been soooo much better. Curry's very good, but your acting as if he would have made me go from a lotto team to a contender.

I dunno, I still hear the East is so much stronger but I dont see it anymore. Is the top team in the East better then the top team in the West? Apparently no, they lost to them. I think the lgs are much closer than they were a few yrs ago.

It would of made you a 40 win team Probably, but keep in mind, I was only 1 win away from 40 anyways. I'm not denying Curry would have been a nice addition and maybe it was a mistake not to get him, but I would have had Brewer starting at SG which would not have been good, and basically nothing to work with trade wise.

I still see it, I give Seattle a ton of credit for winning the title, they had a hell of a run, but from top to bottom, I still view the East as being far superior.

Nova, what did you deal to get JJ?

That's right, nothing that could've prevented you from getting Curry if you actually were interested.

Daye + a future 1st + fillers.
You wanted Arthur or Ibaka + Daye, or both Arthur + Ibaka, so no, I couldn't have gotten both Curry & JJ.

i'm not trying to get on nova, as i've said i don't think it's a bad thing he's been patient, but teams must learn that you need to make more than one trade to win a title. have to look beyond the first move if it'll help put you on the right direction.

Yeah, I know, and believe me, I've probably sent out/gotten back 100+ PM's in the last 3 days, so I'm definitely not just sitting pat.

Eddy Curry is a complete stud. He's not a nice addition, he's a borderline superstar and is severely undervalued in terms of reputation.

Give Nova some time, he seems to be making moves. Hopefully he has a plan in place for this season.

central will be back to dominance in at least 2 seasons
Pacers are on their way back up, only a matter of time before DJ is title contender despite how bad he makes his DC's, and don't discount those Bulls
