Pacers trade:
Conditional draft pick by 2012 draft.
Suns trade:
Ben Wallace
Pacers agree. Not really very concerned with the free agent pool this year for a variety of reasons. Suns could use it more and I could really use a guaranteed blocker and rebounder at backup PF/C over the next year or 2 as I'll be trying to win over 40 games.

Why would you want to be stuck with that contract all for a backup C/PF?

Why would you want to be stuck with that contract all for a backup C/PF? A+/A defense and rebounding...

Why would you want to be stuck with that contract all for a backup C/PF? I really don't look at Wallace as "that contract". - If Horford or Aldridge get injured, my season won't be over. - Wallace will primarily play backup PF/C but I see him as a weapon I can use in a lot of ways, particularly in the playoffs. I have no problem starting him. - He's a guaranteed blocker and rebounder, and I really don't think I had that opportunity elsewhere. Let alone to the level that Wallace does those things. - When my contracts start mattering, his contract will be gone. I have no intention of trading him, or using my cap space in any productive manner over this off season so he is not a liability. Good enough?
