I didn't want to sign Al at the end of the year, so I acquired two assets that I could potentially use in a trade. Wright is only a rookie and producing, and it gives me cap flexibility (since I don't need to give Al what he wants). Nice easy deal here.
Confirm.

Eek. Don't get it at all for the Jazz to be quite honest. Wright has bust written all over him, and Law doesn't look to be all that special, and the 1st will be a late one.
Nice deal for the TWolves.

I like it for both. Jazz need many good players. Wolves need top tier talent.

Depends on Wright, but Al's no max player, and Law looks good. Definitely excited to see what Mark does with this team.

Like it for Jazz. Not really sure how Wright has bust written all over him in his first year, but I believe he'll be a very good big. This trade also gives Mark more assets to make a big deal. Very curious to see what Jefferson does at the end of the year. Is he a max player, who knows, but someone will throw that money toward him.

I don't see how it's difficult to get. Is Jefferson a max player? If someone wants to give it to him, then I guess he is, but I don't want to tie up all of my cap space in a guy who isn't a superstar. He sims well, but I have some guys on my roster who I think are going to be legit max players and want to keep the money open. Considering that he's a FA at the end of the year and I didn't plan on bidding high for him, getting two assets like Wright and Law was ideal for me. I had the option of packaging Jefferson with Monta/Barg, but the players I were getting back weren't quite good enough for me to pull the trigger. I actually like the deal quite a bit.

Well actually, part of that isn't true. Packaging Jefferson with Bargnani could have gotten me Wade, who is great. But my team is in a position where giving up all of my assets for a veteran star makes little sense. I'm not going to win right now with the current group of guys. I need one more TC before I can do anything in the W/L area, but I also need affordable contracts, something Jefferson was about to not be in the slightest.

Nothing wrong with this trade for either team.
Wright does not have bust written all over. He should develope just fine. Law is a nice point guard prospect.
Jefferson is a developed player, still can get better. Will help the Wolves win right now though.
