You were on pace for 40 wins after sim 1. LMFAO we beat the 76ers twice, and 2 teams under .400 impressive. Not to mention 3 of those games were at home. We will be a 30 win team if we don't do this trade. Now I think we are a trade or 2 away from 40 wins. Most of the Western Conference is under 500. You'd do fine

So you had Odom+, Gasol+, Deng+...and the best package of all from the Lakers. I don't see how you settle for this.

Why does it seems its a consensus among all the GMs that you had a better team before the deal? Why are you and Nova the only guys thinking youre better off now? Why didnt you take more time to field offers, even use leverage to get more out of the deal? We did get many offers. The best we got was like Gasol + other pieces, or Deng + other pieces.... That's really all anyone would trade cuz B A- C+ C+ C+ isn't impressive I guess. We almost got Okafor/Diaw/Ratliff for KVH/Bron, but we just couldn't get nothin done. Guess what Ducky, I never thought youd deal bron. On the block or not, it never seemed like he was someone you really wanted to deal. Hell youve built your whole existence in BBS around having him. then you block him, not even in a Lebron block, but a Denver block? When you block a name like LBJ, Id expect it to be a little more noticable.

We got about 6-7 different offers. plus we wanted a good big man. Al Harrington wouldn't be what we were looking for.[/qu what good big man did you get in this deal? Prince and AK are SFs more than PFs. AK is a PF. Who the hell is Prince? He meant Granger you fuck head

honestly, i think i don't speak alone when i say i'm find it hard to not want to bash this. insisting that LeBron James should go to the Detroit friggen Pistons, a rival of many teams such as my own, annoys me. The Pistons have nothing to do with this... This all on Ducky/Nova's stupidity and lack of cognizance i mean, you clearly have a different and exaggerated motive in this argument. you've been bashing ducky all day.

i just looked at this deal...i thought ak was better how does this make the nuggets better NOW? Lebron>>>>AK, and Granger is just as good as Bobby Simmons right now...how the hell does this make the nuggs better? oh shut the fuck up. You just said it was aamzing and nova should take my spot. You don't know what the hell your saying. when the hell did i say it was amazing? I said nova should get the next "GM spot" that opens up because he is by far the most active assistant, and seems very intelligent. I never said the deal was amazing. I said it was "very interesting"...interesting because i never thought in a million years that lebron would be dealt. I didn't think much of the deal because it was so big. When I finally saw the critiques, I decided to analyze it. Granger looks solid but nothing special, ak is good but not great, and you never know where the picks will go. So after analyzing it, I don't see how this is a good deal for the future OR the present. Looks pretty shitty to me, but that's my opinion..

So you had Odom+, Gasol+, Deng+...and the best package of all from the Lakers. I don't see how you settle for this. Hah. You wouldnt even offer Odom + Redd... Heat offered Gasol, Miller, Webster for LeBron, his own 1st back...no chance in hell that it is better then this deal. Dan offered Deng for LBJ before sim 1 and he said he wasn't sure if he'd even do it at that point...after sim 1 he probably wouldn't have. Plus, I don't see how Deng for LBJ is better then this. Hornets - How does that help us? We desperately needed a big, and AK gives us our PF of the future.

If you wouldve gotten AK and Artest or Prince I wouldve thought it was a decent deal, but still questionable. But to not even get 1 of Detroits top 2 wings, to me is ridiculous.
Also, sorry Aaron, I feel like your team always gets screwed with these kinds of deals. Not saying Im gonna veto this, but it sucks that your team also seems to be in some sort of controversy, even when it isnt your fault.

Again, only a small group of teams could have gotten him. What's the point of making a block when you know that only certain teams can get him?
I eventually narrowed it down by looking more closely at players, and then since Saturday talked to every GM who had a legit chance to get him...and only 4 made even good offers.
Krup - You wouldnt move Brand, and wouldn't even say if you would move Marvin...
For the last time, we were looking for a very good big man
Half the teams who are posting here who are bashing this deal made worse offers, and the other half didn't have what it would take to get him.
Also, this is all about name value. Just cause the name of the player we deal is LeBron James, a lot of you are freaking out.

Hes 20. he still has A potential. Hes 24 4 and 5.
You dont trade a guy like him to get a big man. You dont trade Lebron to fill a need. You build around him.

I talked to Miami, he said his FINAL offer was the Gasol offer.
Dan just stated my exact point, he wouldn't move Deng for LBJ.
The only other team that actually had a good chance aside from Detroit here was LA...his offer probably was a bit better.
Seriously, this is retarded.
If this were Deng, who by all accounts looks better then LBJ, for AK, Granger, a lotto 1st, and another 1st, you would all be praising Basone for that deal.
Just because the player's name is LeBron James, it's a bad deal for us.
