btw aaron did hold out, we almost did a deal with AI and artest but were going to wait till the offseason. It so happend that I didnt want AI anymore, so habes found another offer, and I guareente nobodys offer would come close to what reilly is giving him
His first back in 03! which he could easily get a top pick. Damlembert and Jrich..
ok so what he gave up twofirst and a couple upgrades, with Ai big deal. He needed to trade Ai and got what he needed in return, i could see peoople offering him like 6 shitty firsts, and who the hell wants that.

Most people agree this deal wouldve been nice if Habes didnt give more then AI. The fact hat he added to AI made it a bad trade. Nothing you can say to change my mind on that.

Aaron can defend himself, but I'm lost on how this is such a bad deal for Habes? He gave me a Portland pick, which should suck since he's in the West and a Sonics pick, which may be good if Pig is blowing up the team, but by then, it's pretty doubtful.
Comparing this deal with the Marion one, I'm surprised you think he's getting ripped off. Chris got his pick back, plus LA's pick (going to suck), my pick (going to suck), and Habes pick (pretty far down, and if he's rebuilding now, going to suck), and nothing else.
This trade, he gets his '03 pick, JRich (better than any pick Martinez got), Dalembert (I'd also bet better than any other pick he got). He gave up 2 firsts, and 2 upgrades, not a whole lot. AI may be better, but he's not that much better than Marion, especially taking age/contract into consideration.

If people are more upset about AI going to my team, that's understandable; but to call this an uneven trade, I can't agree with it. I could've just said AI for your '03, especailly since Spence just did it with Martinez.

I dont see why everyone is killing Habes on this trade... He picks up 2 really nice young pieces to build around... He also gets his 03 back which he can land bron or bosh...It isnt like this is the worst trade in the world... If you guys wanna to complain about a trade Aaron made complain about the Webber deal...That was alot worse then this one... I think the advantage is to aaron in this one but in the long run it helps habes... it wouldve been hard to build around AI with no cap and picks

There saying Kevin that it was a ok trade other then Habes giving 2 picks back and also that he is dealing Super Aaron. We all no what Super Aaron can do with small resources and some people dont want to see him acquire more then he needs lol.

Not really. I made my offer, he declined, I moved on. The Webber deal annoys me more so then this one to be honest but it's whatever. Just gotta move on and try to build a better team or at least build my youth up.

if my pick is lotto this year that will shock me. but in reality my pick is not going to be good and the sonics pick is far from telling right now. I think habes will make out well in the end.
i know you guys think he didnt have to give up more with AI, but then I would think habes ripped aaron off. Two starters-all stars and his 03 for AI.hmm

What seems ridiculous to me here is that people are throwing out posts like 'I could have given more' etc. The whole point of this trade was to get his pick back in 2003. No one else had that pick but Reilly, no one. Aaron wanted his pick back, and he got it. He also added two other very good pieces. The picks he added are meaningless to the overall deal as far as I'm concerned, and RC's are nothing but fluff to me.
The anger comes from him dealing him to Reilly.. but who cares. This whole "look out for the league" thing is bullshit to me. If people were so concerned about the league, they'd bitch a bit more when Arenas and Wade are in the same draft (something we were avoiding, no?) and Spence gets one of them. Look out for your team. Try and beat Reilly. Stop bitching about it. It isn't even that bad of a deal talent-wise. Nothing like the Webber deal.

Since the other thread is locked, I can't believe Martinez was the only one to see through the deal.....after all the stuff that went on this week, we figure we'd mess around a bit., haha.
