Did we need to re-export or no?

Did we need to re-export or no? No. Unfortunately, with the issues we ran into, this sim won't include the recent exports. However, if there is a silver lining, no one in the league got an export in this sim. So, at least it's fair across the board. All trades and transactions have been processed through the Trade Deadline. Everyone please re-set your lineups and pitching staffs, export, and we should be back on track.

That's kind of bullshit.
Wouldn't it just make more sense to re-sim the whole thing where everyone has a chance to export? I had about 19 guys on my roster this past sim. I made so many changes. It's not at all about how I did this sim either..it's more of a player development thing, I had 5 or 6 prospects on my ML roster when I exported.

He should still have the old file up on his computer. So, if he reads this prior to DL'ing the new file and unzipping, he could easily re-do the sim. As it stands now, the file is up, and the website is currently uploading.

I agree with Matt, even with the delay we should have seen if we could get the exports in. However, with the sim already being done, I don't think we can re-sim. This is a weird game, strange things happen in it. Maybe my star player gets a career-ending injury if we re-sim. I had some great development this sim, not to mention a 6-1 record, that I don't want to see erased. We need to just leave it as it is and move on from here.

I'm pissed because I made so many trades the sim before last and never had a chance to really compete in this last sim..

I had a good sim but I think going ahead and simming is bullshit. This is the trade deadline and it was impossible to trade without files or a league page for the last day which kind of killed what is one of the most important sims of the year.

I think that was the wrong decision. I made a lot of changes on that last export. Now I am going to have to go and redo all of that when I could have simply just hit export to FTP again?
I think we should redo the 25th to 30th after exports have been put in.

I really do not like the idea of re doing a sim though, i think once it is done it is done, when you re- do a sim shit can happen that can help/hurt you, but in the end we should not have to deal with. do not re sim.

No doubt. Glad I'm not the only one ticked. I'm not happy, but theres not much you can do at this point. Bob should've never simmed in the first place without telling us to re-export our teams. Like everyone else has said, this sim and those exports are one of, if not the most, important sim of the season for a lot of teams. Heres to hoping this never happens again..

Yeah normally I would agree with what all of you with the reexport situation but once you sim, you cannot resim unless the weather falls below zero and every team has a no hitter.

There will be no re-sim.
Once a sim is done, it cannot be redone unless the future of the league is at stake due to corrupt files or something similar. This game is so random a re-sim would change the future of the league forever. Could be major injury changes, major PD changes, etc. That being said, I really wish Layfield wouldn't have lost his talent.
While unfortunate, I'm beind Bob. It was unfortunate for everyone - just as the sim was with the weather and no offense sim that PB refers to. This exact situation happened once before (man this hosting group seems to have a lot of F-ups) and there were many comments/complaints about us not doing it sooner whether or not there were exports.
That being said, if you did not have the file before the site went down you weren't very interested in the trading deadline anyway, as the site didn't really go down before the sim was scheduled to be done, and the deadline over. There were 2 full days prior for that.
We will just have to move forward. If we were to re-sim, we would be opening ourselves up for much more criticism than we are receiving now.

Truly. Amen to what Habes just wrote. Yes it does. In '05 I lost my entire starting OF (at the same time) for 1.5-2 months plus mt #2 SP for 2+ months and my CL for a couple of weeks. When it rains it pours.

Is there a way to turn down the frequency of injuries?
