Wednesday 4/2/2007: Washington's Hudson severely injured WASHINGTON - Washington's second baseman Orlando Hudson suffered a season ending injury when he hurt himself firing a ball to first base. He collapsed in pain after the throw and was helped off the field. Hudson was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Rotator Cuff Muscle. Monday 3/31/2007: Victor Zambrano pitches 2-hit shutout against Toronto TORONTO - Toronto's hitters were dominated by Baltimore's Victor Zambrano. He gave up just 2 hits in recording his 1st shutout of the season. 'That was one of the best games of my career. I had my stuff working very well today.' Zambrano (1-0) struck out 6 and issued 2 BB, throwing 66 of 105 pitches for strikes. The hitting star for Baltimore was centerfielder Melvin Mora, he finished 1 for 3, homering once. Baltimore improved its record to 1-0, scoring 1 run on 4 hits.
Sim is done, file is up, website is uploading.
Judging by the Dodgers season-opening sweep of the Giants, we have another contender in the NL West this year.

Wow! We went 4-1, and the pitching was impressive. Damian Moss went 9+ ip with no er, and is definitely going to get a crack at the rotation since Lackey sucks.
Sleeth picks up where he left off--9 ip, 12 k, 2 er in a win.
Lopez just raked, so all's well here.

3-2. Not that bad of a start but would have liked to see better. Pedro started things off shitty, we lost 5-4 to the As. He pitched like shit, hopefully its a fluke. Then we came back with two solid wins over the As. Offense is tearing it up. Mauer is a beast. Youk hit 2 hrs. Soriano and others are hitting well right now. Johnson pitched well, Wise got a win, Escobar got a win. Vargas pitched like shit and the pen kind of lost it as well. Errors are not a good thing again this year it seems. meh. Pen started off well only had the collapse in vargas game. We had 16 runs vs the mariners where we went 1-1. Mauer had 5 hits in that blowout game.

3-2, not too shabby. Took 2 of 3 from the Cards and have split with the Mets thus far. Berkman already has 8 RBI but Oswalt gave up 8 runs to the Cards, which is unsettling.

4-1... swept the rays solely on offense, and split one and one with the twins because of offense.... pitching is brutal

2-3. Up and down. Put a pretty solid beating on Pedro on opening day, then lost 3 straight before taking one from the rangers. Lucky to be 2-3 and not 0-5 after my team played like a piece of shit on its way to China. Batting .222, ERA of 5.00. McPhersons a beast, but we already knew that. Rotation sucks. Murphy played decent, 3 RBI in his first 5 games in the bigs. And Cornell had a good PD, went up to 4.5 stars.

We're hitting the absolute shit out of the ball, and not pitching particularly well. I like this team a lot. I don't think we're a no doubt playoff team, but we're definitely going to contend, and since I clashed payroll by 25 million or so, that's pretty sick. I need to limit my financial loss this season because I have a few critical guys up as FAs for next year, and I need to retain them reasonably.

The key to my team is Wright. If Wright hits, then I'm going to win a lot of games. If he doesn't, then it is more up in the air. We lost Ortiz, and that is huge, but we've still got some dangerous hitters, we've still got our speed, and we have an outstanding defensive club.

3-2. Not too shabby. Looking forward to how Reyes, Werth, Kielty and Rolls do offensively this year. they are the guys I think I want to keep. Sok is kinda fringe guy at this point, but his production in Coors will be interesting. I expect to bring up Sinisi and Francouer at some point this year.

#2 in the power rankings....wow I might have to save a screen shot of this. Our pitching is great....Hitting is horrible.

1-4.
Pitching has been horrible. No pitcher has an era under 5, and only 2 under 10, 4 under 20. My 4-7 guys have been hitting, but 1-3 have been sucking. I need to spark some offense into my lineup.
However Richmond is doing well. Especially the pitching staff. Might see some of these guys in the majors if my starters keep struggling.

3-2 sim, I can deal with that.
While our young pitchers seem to be struggling a bit, two of our young hitters (Hermida and Mathis seem to have settled right in and both have been great for me.
Starting with the 2nd sim we get to add Traber to the 'pen and Glaus to the lineup. This team could be going places...
