Ugh. I'd almost bet I won the first 2 on the road and lost both at home the way my team played this year.

Actually, it was a split
SF in game 1 (10 innings) STL in game 2
SF in game 3 STL in game 4

And yeah that is rough Bob, almost similar to what the Yankees (real life) have done the past 3 years.

OK, the 4th time then...either way the good old boys in STL choke in the playoffs And it figures that the greedy Carpenter and Sheets each cost me a game with their wonderful pitching.

Where Bobby and Matty have failed in the first round, my failures are documented in the LCS.
My 3rd year here, my 3rd year in the LCS after inheriting a team that was 5M in debt.
Both times, I've failed to reach the World Series. Lost in '04 to eventual champion PIT in 6 games. Lost last year to the upstart Philly squad in 7. I sure hope this year turns out different, but I don't have a great feeling about it.

So we won in four games. Got off to a good start with Pedro, allowing 1 run, we won 3-1. Youk had 2 homeruns that game. Krod closed it out all well. Game 2, Morris had a great game. 8,1 innings pitched 6 hits, no runs 1 walk 5 ks. Krod closed it out, Owens and Sori hit well. Sori had a home run and Jason lane did too.
Game 3 lost 2-0. Johnson pitched 8 strong innings, 8 hits, 2 runs, 5 ks. We could not hit off of Kris benson only getting 4 hits. Guy has a hot wife too. She must of been in the crowd.
Game 4 offense comes alive with 7 runs off 10 hits. Jason lane had his second hr of the series, youk had another 2 hit performance, guy is batting 643 this series. Singleton and Sanchez all getting some key hits. Matt wise did not get off to well, and now he is hurt. Got to see for how long, could hurt us.Ggood thing Roy Smith came in for him and pitched solid. Vizcaino pitched like a bitch, but we got things together and won it.
Onto the Yanks, hard match up here. They are great all around plus Vlad in there. Going to be tough, if we can pitch like this to the Yanks we will have a shot. We need our hitting to catch fire now though. Good series Mariners.

Not sure how many times I've advanced beyond the first round, but I usually struggle in the playoffs...this year started off well...so far.
Good to have Wang back for the playoffs...Lidle struggled mightily against the Royals and was the only hiccup in the ALDS. Pettitte actually did well against the Angels this season...so I am taking a BIG risk...and putting Pettitte in the rotation...with Lidle headed to the bullpen to put another good arm in there. Pettitte's experience and leadership is needed here big time to take on Pedro.
Going to be a TOUGH series and I think the irony of having LAA and NYY facing each other is fantastic. Good luck!
And export is in.
