Is there any limit to years?
RF V.Guerrero SP J.Vazquez SS O.Cabrera
[rant] This process should probably be re-thought. Demands sometimes change daily - so waiting an entire sim between their original offer & the opportunity to make an offer is pretty shitty... in my opinion. You should just ask your entire roster over the span of eight sims just so you can offer anyone an extension immediately later in the season when you want to. Seems to me that would be a huge waste of time for (the commish) having to look at and post the demands of ~15 players per team who won't even receive an extension offer at all. But that is just me having thoughts... none of my players have any specific demands anyway so I could care less about how its done... until it fucks me over. [/rant]

i haven't made a limit on years. i just don't know where i would draw the line, but if somebody attempts something outrageous then i might have to step in and stop that.
i will consider your rant. this is my first year(shocking, meh) as a commissioner and so i did what i could with the rules but i admit that some of it could be done better. i'm really hoping by season 2 that i can establish a great set of rules, having gone through everything at least once.

I'm pretty sure no one signs for more than 7 years... and most would demand less.
And I understand that... I didn't expect the rules to be perfect in the first year...
But to make improvements... you need input from the league... so there is mine on this subject.

Washington Nationals:
V.Guerrero: Please let me hear your offer!
J.Vazquez: Probably I'll test the market, but let me hear an offer.
O.Cabrera: I am in my prime and would like to test the market. Anyway, what's your offer?

SP Tony Arms - $7,700,000 - 6 years OF Jay Payton - $2,600,000 - 3 years I don't want so many years! Slowly, I am getting impatient. signed. I'll give you until I'm done with the rest of extensions if you're paying attention, to make 1 more offer to Armas, it'll count against next sim's offers(you'd only get to make 2).
