4-3 My team is still hanging around in the division race. Not sure if I should call up Sizemore but it does say in his scouting report that he might be ready to play in the big leagues.

5-3. Swept the cards got swept bythe brewers and have taken 2 out of 3 with the 3rd game yet to be played against philly. Some lineups changes really seem to get it going for some guys. The bullpen has been really good with the exception of a few players but overall its been very good. Gosling has benn nothing less than great for this team on his rookie year 4-1 with an ERA of 2.68, and the rest of the staff is putting it together. Veyr happy with this sim but we still have alot of work to do.

5-2. sweet sim 2/3 from boston 2/3 from Baltimore 1 from KC
Pitching was great. Smith had a couple solid outtings, morris pitched well, Helling had a complete game vs the Os. Harange pitched 7.2 7 ks 4 walks, 3 hits. awesome stuff. Krod had a few saves.
Hitting was good too, DaVanon caught fire.Bautista is driving in the runs, Harvey and Arod coming through, so good things all around.
good stuff through out the minors.

4-3 sim.
Swept by AZ...ouch Sweep LA, nice Take 1st game of the series from COL.
Edgar starting to heat up again...hopefully for a longer period of time than last. Sheets has been great, Eaton rebounding nicely from a horrible year last year. Hopefully things will start to round into shape with my pitching and my offense will click. Nice thing is my lineup is so deep that if one player is struggling, I've got 5 or 6 others that can handle the weight. Just hope all of them dont' go into a slump at once.

2-5. Went on the ol' west coast trip and the results were not so good. Pedro pitched in both wins. Experimenting Tek in the 3 hole was not a good idea but no regrets. I think this team will have a chance to make the playoffs but things are going to have to improve.

3-4.
vs. Chicago (L) 5-8 vs. Chicago (L) 1-5 vs. Chicago (W) 8-2 vs. San Diego (W) 9-7 vs. San Diego (L) 5-8 vs. San Diego (W) 6-3 At Pittsburgh (L) 4-9
For the most part, the young rotation is holding together nicely. Josh Stewart, filling in for the injured staff ace Tony Armas, was roughed up a bit. Kyle Snyder's first start as a Nat was decent. Vargas and Day continue to get better.
Offensively, my kids are swinging the sticks very well. Six of the eight starting positions players are hitting over .300, and super-sub Carlos Baerga is off to a red hot start. Matt Cepicky, and his impressive 1-star rating, was great in his first sim on the big club. My scout had been calling for the kid to get a shot, and I finally appeased. He rewarded me. Let's hope that keeps up.
I feel good about the next few sims, as the acquisition of Matt Anderson will help end the closer experimentations and should stabilize the bullpen more. Not really sure why Joey Eischen is showing the uncanny ability to not retire a hitter right now, but I have faith he will turn it around.
Overall, my club is finally starting to look how I want it to. Now, it's just a matter of staying healthy and being patient with a young team, small payroll, and horrible fan base.

6-1 sim.....very impressed with this team so far.
pitching has been stellar, the big 3 has been sick, and munro is picking it up lately. zito and hudson had back to back CG sho's this sim, i think we gave up like 10 runs in these 7 games, so anytime that happens with my hitting we should be in a pretty nice position to win, and unlike last year, the bullpen has also been great, we are clicking right now. hitting has been good, not great though. castillo really needs to pick it up, and we've been kinda inconsistent overall this year. garrett anderson was a monster this sim though.

......and horrible fan base. I need to retract that statement! Just noticed I gained TWO fan interest points this sim! If you build it, they will come.

Really thrilled about Alexander Smit. 18 years old, just took a big boost to his ratings, became a 4-star prospect and went from unranked to the number 46 prospect. I have so many promising young pitchers (like 7 guys 3.5 stars) that I'm bound to get a really nice starter or two.
