Very odd how that signing went down.
Almost makes you wonder.
I have been involved with OOTP for several years, and I have never seen that happen. Something doesn't feel right.

wow is right.. I offer Dice-K 21.5mill for 3 years, lol. I offered around 18.5M for 2. Every time I exported I was the favorite offer. In 8 years seasons of commishing, I've never seen ANY player accept less when years were the same.

Think I offered 15 or 16 mil over 5 yrs or something. Thing is, he wont get a ton in 2 years because he'll still be an arby guy. So when this contract is up he'll get auto renewed for about 3 more yrs. He signed a FA contract, so I don't think he'll go into arby. Even though he's a rookie, I don't think OOTP will recognize that since he's a FA.

What the hell is going on with this FA? First Dice K, and I offered Farnsworth twice as much as Nanz. I guess Einhorn is Finkle....Finkle is Einhorn....Einhorn is a man!!! What is the world coming to?

This signing has the potential to cause serious problems in this league.
A lot of people are suspicious. I hope it was done fairly and within the rules. Would be a severe shame, if it came to light that it wasn't.

It's service time in the ML I think. Not whether you signed as a FA or not. Thats why the Japanese players that come over sign 5 yr deals. So they dont get caught in the arby circle and their money is guaranteed.

i saw boston and san diego be the favorite offers. And the before this sim boston was his favorite offer. Yes, but before I exported last night I was the favorite offer. That means he'd have had to top mine again. I offered my full $$$ for FA.

That might be the case in real MLB, but I'm doubting that in OOTP...just seems like something too complicated to work into the game. And it's really making me wonder...I had 18.5 over 3. Why would he take less years and less money than some of us offered?

Why would he take less years and less money than some of us offered? Ah, the million dollar question. I don't think it is a necessary argument to start honestly. He stepped up, and something went in his favor. I seriously doubt he did anything shady, but I don't think the first sign of it should have been the time to start pointing the finger. If anything, he messed up importing, since he is new to it all. Cut him some slack. If this were me feeling the need to accuse him, I'd have kept my mouth shut, tried to catch him again, and busted him on two things.

san diego had the best offer on days one and two with 12.5 and I had it on day 3 with 10,456,409 and then I sent that offer in tonight.

I'll come to defense of Mike's character, if it matters. I've been in sims with him for more than two years and he's a good guy who's never done anything silly or suspicious.

The Giants did not have the favorite offer on day 3. You may of had it after you made your last offer becuse after I upload all the offers for day 4 you had it but then i sent my offer in.
