Sorry to hear you go Duce. It's been fun and maybe just take a break for alittle while to see how it really feels to be out of the sim world. You never now what you got till you let it go. Best of luck if you decide to leave.

By the way Duce just ignore stuff. I was once hung up on the mature factor. It's just not worth it.

Anyone who is capable of simming i can help teach you. OOTP can be tricky and time consuming. Im not in this sim but i know im a big part of Duce' decision and I just wanted to say im sorry. I definitely didnt think it would ever blow up into all this. If you do actually retire for good have a good life (even though i was an ass to you, i mean it). I regret the negative things i said to you within the past 5 years. Peace, but i hope you come back. I ran a league that a few of these guys were in (Spencer, Greggor, Bob in WAS, Matt in STL, Jeff in SEA). I do not have the time to do it now, so that is not an option, but I too could definitely teach someone how.

Damn Duce, hate to hear this. I dont know if I have the time to commit to being the simmer/commish. I'd have to think about it. It can be quite time consuming so anyone that takes on the title just make sure you can afford the time.

if we could have one uploader and another to input trades, transactions, etc... i think we should be OK

It is pretty time consuming. But I think the thing to remember is, it's completely under the control of whoever is doing it. If you want to sim twice a week because that's all there's time for, then that's all up to that person.
And by the way, I slept, I worked out, and I'm still highly annoyed.

Here's the thing, I can help out maybe but my scehdule is such that I cant commit to a specific sim time which is very important for a sim lg. It should be simmed as you guys know with a degree of consistency. I just cant commit to that I dont think.

BBS does have a buncha bitches in it. As active as they may be, I personally feel they bring down the quality of the league with all their shit.
Thanks for offering to stick around until a replacement is found (if there is going to be one). That's pretty cool of you.

But I do think inconsistent simming is better than no simming. I'd say the way I went about simming, was almost unnecessary. It didn't really have to always be on time the way I did it. Still it's up to you.

I had kinda assumed the College thing wasnt happening. Not sure youll have time to do the baseball league. I would say that... the average sim day for me takes about 50 minutes, even on my slow computer. If extensions are done less often and such, then you have more 30 minute sims. What's tough about it is the amount of things I do before and after. Zipping files, deleting things in the file to make it smaller(faster download for GMs), checking to make sure trades and signings are legal, all that stuff. But none of it is necessary. You can do away with the stingy rules and just do the normal stuff. The hardest part about this is settling in. It was pretty rough early on and until you get organized and into a routine, it's a little hectic. After that it's pretty easy, but it takes up time.

I may be taking over if everone is cool with that Im down for anyone who thinks they can do it. If Greg could help, thatd be even better. Maybe Mike and Greg could talk as well. I just dont want any 1 person to feel over burdened. Running a successful sim is time consuming and thankless.

Jezz...however, I know how you feel Duce---beyond other personal reasons...it is a very thankless job, but i've been able to get my wife to sign off on 3 nights a week for an hour myself---I have a M/W/F schedule setup for me to do just after work---then I have the evening and weekends for fun...
It's all about scheduling your priorities, and OOTP is a very low priority, it needs to be.
You did a great job Duce---anyone who takes over should look to him as a model.
Thanks!
