Ehh I don't know if they suck but ok They are mediocre at best. And I didnt want to make more mediocre players studly since ratings have become a bit more increased. I just dont see the need in adding FAs unless they are intriguing. Neither of these guys seemed intriguing to me. thats fine

Did I overpay for Ariza? Absolutely.
Do I care? Absolutely not. It was either overpay for someone I like, or waste my cap room and only have about 3 mill in cap next offseason.
He's only 23, he has 2 RC's left, and at worst he ends up being a very good backup, at best, he's a nice player who I can start or trade off.
I now have 6 players I want to RC, heh, just have to figure out which ones to do this year.

at least the hornets have some nice pieces he can build around. Like guys have said you have to over pay to get what you need really. Chris I would not be talking about how poor of a job someone else is doing. I can, when that person replaced me.

I'm not even going to bother explaining myself to Chris, I can respect people like Krup, Duce, Spence, Outlawz, etc. who question my decisions, but you of all people have no room to judge anyone else's GM skills.

I was that team in 98.

The only contract I regret giving is the one to Nene. BG played well for me & got me Ibaka & Ariza essentially which I'm happy with, & Smush was outstanding & landed me expiring & David Lee who I really like.

As time went on powerhouses such as the raptors and pacers built great teams and so did the bulls but where did your team go, straight down in the standings. Dont give your bullshit on being an elite gm, You quit because you could not handle the pressure and could not turn your team around. If you quit for work and school or whatever you would never been around then, but you were an active asst gm, and draft runner and then you got a team within a few months later. You can not say Nova is doing a poor job, he is doing alot better than what you were doing when you left.

I never considered myself to be an elite GM but I don't get how making it to the Conf finals and having much better overall record than you makes me such a bad GM? I get the biggest lashing out when I make trades because I have the biggest mouth, but I am by far NOT the worst GM here and I don't care what anyone has to say about it. Are you kidding? Being an Asst GM and a Draft profiler isn't the same as being a GM. I did nothing but help Hernando with his DCs and a draft profile takes all of 5mins? I wasn't in my contract year either, I hit 40 wins. and if the Central was in such disarray how did they have the finals winner in the first season? Two teams from the same division in the CONF finals as well? Last time I checked, the Central was always dominant from the start.

Ariza is a very solid player but if you want to overpay for a guy like that you give him a 3 yr contract not a 6 year. If it doesnt pan out your fucked. Specially in a hard cap league you dont want to be possibly stuck with a deal like that. If i was Nova i would trade him right away before TC
