1. Carmelo Anthony SF Phoenix....Phoenix needs so much so no matter who they get at 1, theyll be improved. But they really cant ask for more then a potential 30 point per game scorer in Anthony.
2. Amare Stoudemire PF New York....The Knicks only have 1 player they want to keep in Kenyon Marin, add Amare Stoudemire to the mix and their frontcourt is set for the next decade. Stoudemire and Martin are 2 players that can not only score, but defend the basket.
3. Yao Ming C Milwaukee....The Bucks would love to somehow land a talent like Yao Ming. They have torn down their franchise this year and are prepared for a major rebuild. If they can land Yao, the rebuild may be quicker then they expected.
4. Chris Bosh PF Boston....The Celtics need a nice young replacement for Karl Malone and few other fit the bill like Chris Bosh. Bosh will step in and be the face of the franchise for years to come.
5. Boris Diaw SF Indiana....The Pacers have a very nice starting 5 already, so in drafting Diaw they get a guy that can play 4 positions off the bench. Expect him to via for the 6th man award as a rookie.
6. Carlos Boozer PF Utah....The Jazz believe Vitaly Potapenko is a one year wonder, so picking Boozer makes tons of sense. Boozer and Brad Miller will form an imposing front court tandem.
7. Kirk Hinrich PG Houston....The Rockets desperately need a PG and get the best one in the draft in Hinrich. Expect him to start from Day 1.
8. Tayshaun Prince SF Denver....Prince will have to move to SG and will combine with Antawn Jamison to make a wonderful wing tandem. Prince may be an even better defender at SG.
9. Caron Butler SF LA Lakers....The Lakers need a SF and its possible that Butler will be the best scoring SF in the draft behind Carmelo Anthony.
10. Josh Howard SF LA Lakers....Just in case the Butler pick doesnt work out, the Lakers grab a more defensive minded small forward as plan B in Josh Howard. The Lakers are overloaded on the wings now which may enable them to make a trade for a point guard.
11. Nene C LA Clippers....Nene gives the Clippers someone to replace the aging David Robinson. The Clippers are getting a little older, so an infusion of youth will help alot.
12. Gerald Wallace SF Toronto....Raptors need a center more then they need another wing, but Wallace's athleticsm and defense make him a good pick here. Wallace and AK could become the best set of defensive forwards in the league.
13. Drew Gooden PF Detroit....The Pistons dont need aything, but adding a nice young reboudner like Gooden should help them now and in the future.
