If shaq can at least stay healthy for the playoffs, I think they will give a lot of teams a run for their money. It is a bad trade, but you take it for what it is, they tried to counter the lakers getting gasol, but losing marion is huge.

Why are you naming 2 of their starters??? We are talking about depth and thier benches, and you go ahead and name two of thier starters? that makes no sense. Like i said before after barbosa and diaw they have noone that can come off the bench and make a difference. Amara can stop Bynum ok then who guards Gasol or even Odom?? Ok Amare guards Gasol then who gets Bynum and Odom. The lakers have to much and i think it was a bad idea getting Shaq but that niether here or there. Woah, i am naming what they have, yes, some are their starters, but the point is that you said they have no bench, which is false. Also you said no one could guard Gasol/Bynum, which also is false.

The point i said which is completely true is that they have noone that can come off the bench and score for them after barbosa and diaw, while the lakers have the much superior and deeper bench by far. Thats what i said about the suns having "no one" i wasnt talking about their starrting 5 at all. And yes no one can guard Gasol/Bynum both at the same time, its very tough to guard a 7 footer and the lakers now have 2.

Lakers took the Suns to 7 two years ago, even though last year wasn't as great. Still, I see them as a better team. The giants reference is not really fear considering its a one elimination game ,where anything can really happen, not a 7 game series. T he suns have nobody and i mean nobody that can stop either Gasol or Bynum yet alone both. Not to mention the lakers have so much depth in every position while the suns have pretty much just barbosa. Also lets not forget Kobe is still on the team and also Odom who is a hell of player and a mismatch every time. I know anything can happen and all but the lakers are the better team right now and they will be a much better team in 8 weeks with bynum. Nobody to stop Gasol or Bynum. They have two guys who can stop them. Their is more than Barbosa to this bench. All I am saying is, that you can not count out the suns. I have said my piece.

I agree you count the suns out and you cant out other teams like the hornets jazz spurs and others. But there is no more to that bench other than barbosa and diaw. Goodnight
