The one problem with Fantasy drafts... FA will be terrible for the first 4 seasons... until the better players' "draft" deals are finished. But, it really cant be avoided. Actually it probably can, but it would take effort. Effort sux.

Middle of a snake draft is good...
BUT
from past experience, whoever starts in the top 5, has an advantage because there is usually enough depth to get to the beginning of round 3...then it really starts to thin out.

Its ok I would have like 12 to 15. But 18 is solid for round 2

Im working on different salaries. This is what I have so far..... 1st Round 1-10-10 mill 6 years 10% increases 11-20-9 mill 5years 10% increases 21-29-8 mill 4 years 10% 2nd round 1-10- 7 mill 3yrs 10% 11-20- 6 mill 3 yrs 10% 21-29- 5 mill 3yrs 10% I like, except, I think each round should have different years. Cause all the 2nd rounders will be FA the same year. Which would be kinda dumb. So maybe for 2nd ronud, something like: 1-10- 6 mill 4yrs 10% 11-20- 5 mill 4yrs 10% 21-29- 5 mill 3yrs 10%

Spencer, are we going to do a draft like BBS2 did? Have the rounds go 1-30, 30-1, 30-1, 1-30, 30-1, and so on? We had the 2nd and 3rd rounds go the same way b/c of the extreme talent that would go at the top. Just wondering

Even with the depth issue, I still think getting a top-5 pick is better than, say, the 20th pick. Getting a *true* franchise player far outweighs two good players, IMO. Give me Tim Duncan and god knows who in the second round over two *good* players any day.

that + what dj said, better 3rd player and then it starts thinning out. earlier picks are definitely better.

I really didn't want to bring it up now that I found out I had the 20th pick. I wanted to post it last night but I went to bed early since I gotta be up before 6 for work. So I waited to post until this afternoon.

if all 1st rounders get paid the same, isn't the guy drafting at say #27 getting screwed by having to pay his guy as much as KG?

yeah of course they are, anyone past that in the 20s will probably suck. Im sure of it, we are going to rebuild through drafts and fa, but what can u do. luck of the draw.

I thought you meant the players themselves will suck. Well, not every team can be great. Just have to draft well and make good moves. I would like to think that I won't put together a good team solely because I have a top 3 pick.
