So Krupinski and I go to some more JSBL games. Playoffs started and there were some serious games tonight. Marcus Toney-El, Martinez will know him, had a monster game in the first of two. Led them to the win. Second game had Brevin Knight's team play an up and coming prospect, Jason Thompson. community.foxsports.com/blogs/goodmanonfox/2007/07/07/LeBron_Takes_the_Court He took it LeBron during that came. I had the chance to talk with him for 15 minutes or so, real good guy. But the real cool story came after the game. During every Knight game, we always sit with his friends. Afterwards, we go down and shoot with them, until Brevin, and his friend Allen Watson (another great point guard, playing in Europe) come out. Allen and Brevin sat down, and there was a chair open between them. I decided to go talk to them. First started with Allen Watson. For years, he's represented himself overseas, trying to find teams. Unfortunately, without an agent, he never played serious basketball, like he could. He's an extremely quick pg, great passing ability, and very strong. I started talking to him, as I have for a few weeks, about his status in Europe. Winds up the team he thought he was going to sign with has a point guard, and they don't need him. I'm friends with a few agents, and told him I'd set him up, obviously reaping rewards for myself. He's all for it. Then I turned to Knight. As I did this, Krupinski came over. The two of us started talking to him about the current Minny deal, saying Boston should utilize part or all of their MLE to acquire him. As he indicated, LAC is very interested in him, still. We both said his agent has to leverage both teams against each other, and get as much of the MLE as he can. His buddies eyes popped out of their heads, while Brevin said forget my agent, I should hire you two. I'm going to keep working on Watson, and hopefully if we do well for him, Brevin will see this and we can take it from there....and the guy with them is first cousins with Randy Foye and verrrrrry close.....haha. I have an autographed Knicks hat by Greg Anthony. ahahahha, i thought that was funny. but anyway that is pretty sick guys, good luck. hopefully something happens.

this is going back to an older story, but one of the guys krupinski and i met at the summer league games is a mentor to all newark, nj basketball players (works foye out every summer). two of us have officially started an agency up, and we got word from a great player currently in europe that he wants to sign with us when he returns to the states early next year. here is his profile, krupinski can give you the full scouting report on him since he knows pretty much everything about every player in summer league. www.eurobasket.com/player.asp?Cntry=AUT&PlayerID=102928he should have a great career in europe. he's playing in the first division austrian league. his team sucks, but he has played very well in the two games he's played. had 15/7 dimes/3 steals tonight. we're hoping to get him moved up to one of the better divisions next year. figure we shared this stuff all summer, i'd give you guys an update since the guys i've talked to about this have shown some interest and support. and as corny as it sounds, there's no chance i would've even considered doing something in the business aspect of basketball if it wasn't for bbs.

Melvin Creddle was the first player I really took a liking to this summer. He went missing most of the summer after the first time we saw him and finally came back for the playoffs.
He is a lefty with very good handle. Likes to go to his left much more than his right but defenders have trouble stopping him from going left. Doesn't turnover the ball much and likes to have the ball in his hands
Takes advantage of what the defender gives him but is better driving to the basket than shooting from the outside
Likes to shoot and score off the dribble
has good vision when driving to the basket. When he draws defenders to himself he is unselfish with the ball giving it to the bigs for easy lay ups
can rise above the rim, has good hang time
in good shape playing 40+ is not a problem.
Not the most defensive minded but is a good on the ball defender tends to get lost when off the ball
confident in his game which helps him thrive
I'm trying to think of a comparison player but I'm drawing blanks...this kid definitely slipped through the cracks most likely due to his grades and the area he is from is a poor area.

I couldn't get into this type of thing now, even in a hugely limited role. I have too much other stuff I need to do over the next few years. But it's definitely something to keep us updated on, Reilly.
