not too mention baseball basketball and football are team sports and if your having a bad day at least you have your team to support you. when your on the course and your having a bad day you are all alone for those 5 hours . it's enough to drive you mad.

Hardest sport to play. Ask any athlete who's played any major sport that also played baseball which ones hardest. I've played soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and track in high school and by far the hardest overall is soccer. Baseball and track are the easiest.

Lot of great high school players flame out in minors. There's a reason only one sport has minor leagues . It's hard as hell to hit ML pitching.

Baseball is not the easiest sport to play, you are completely wrong there.

hitting a round ball with a round bat with numerous different pitches, movements, speeds, and other variables; not the easiest thing to do

Just so everyone knows... a normal MLB fastball gets to the plate in about half of a second. It's MUCH different than your ordinary game of backyard baseball.

Definitely not the easiest. That would have to go to basketball or tennis IMO.
It goes:
Tennis Basketball Football Soccer Golf(You truly don't understand how difficult it is until you actually play a real golf course) Baseball Hockey
Hockey is the most difficult just because you have to do so many things, you have to skate, pass the puck, avoid getting knocked out by a hit, hit the other team, make line changes, defend, etc.

every sport has a degree of difficulty. don't see how anyone can win this argument. the only way i think you can say this sport is harder to play then the other is to look at how hard it is to become a professional in it with more sports leagues for every sport opening up around the world it is becoming easier to be a pro athlete my friends and i have gone over all this a few times in the last year and think that basketball is the hardest to go professional in (the euro leagues and developemental leagues have made that easier) but to be successful for any amount of time you have to be an amazing athlete... you cant become a great athlete by hard work... you are born that way yes there are some players who were not great athletes that were very successful in bball but the majority was a great one (at least in the modern nba) one other thing you can argue is the amount of people who play the sport and try to play pro ball for example there are more pro soccer leagues then any other sport but there are probably 20 times the amount of soccer players in the world then players in any other sport... does that make it easier or harder to go pro... i think it balances it out but that is something you have to take into account to decide what is the hardest to play just my opinion on all it

Not that easy It is the easiest. I never really play tennis. Maybe for fun once a year or something. But, my cousin who was a sophomore at the time, played for JV for the 2nd largest HS in Oregon (and they are one of the best Tennis schools in Oregon), challenged me to a Tennis match. And I beat him, so yeah, definitely the easiest, at least for me.

i would agree with aaron, every sport is different, every sport can be hard and can be easy, no real way to say which sport is harder to play. But to say one sport is the easiest of them all is crazy.

baseball is definitely not the easiest. I agree for the same reason Aaron mentioned about movement, etc, try hitting a Joel Zumaya 100 MPH fastball also, not even the great hitters can do that ha and its a fastball.

Also, lets face it. Unless you are an exceptional athlete you are'nt gonna play basketball. Unless you are unusually tall. Which most are. Now some of those guys are freaks of nature with their size/ speed/athleticism ratio. But at least 35% I figure are pros because they're tall, not necessarily athletic per se. That kinda skews the ratings some. However I would still put basketball near the top. And conversely Baseball has all the Latin American countries and Japan so the competition there is fierce. Honestly, to me though it 's my sport, football that is the easiest. Biggest rosters, dont have to have great size particularly, can get by with decent speed if you have good instincts. Now it may be among the toughest, but that does'nt mean it's the hardest. Tennis I think is among the easiest also. I never played competitive tennis but it really isnt that hard to learn. And most of those guys/girls have been taking lessons from early on which can be pricey thereby diminishing competition to me. And Golf, is it really a sport or a skill? It's not like you have guys trying to stop you from hitting the ball. Thats a skill to me more than a sport. A sport is when another person is trying to prevent you from achieving a goal, whatever that goal may be. Golf isnt about that. You're basically competing with yourself. Just my view.

i've played soccer, hockey, tennis, football, baseball and basketball. I would say tennis is the easiest to pick up probably. And I would say baseball is the hardest, once again stressing the point, if you fall into a pitcher with good movement as a hitter your in trouble. In addition, you need to learn the right way or approach to take when fielding the ball or otherwise you could look very bad.

Yea baseball hitting is one of the tuffest things in all of sports and thats why being good only 25% of the time can make you a decent player lol. Majority of most sports out there dont give that much room to get your job done.
