Give it to jeremy, just for now. I bet he gets fired, and when he does then give it to skillz. Simplest solution.

i voted for jermey because hes been waiting forever. if he blows it he can always go back to being a asst. This pretty much sums up my feelings. I dont know why there's such animosity against Jeremy. For a lg that wants active GM's to continually rag on a guy that is very active befuddles me.

I change my vote from myself to Skillz. What a disgrace if Jeremy actually get the team.

you people don't get it... Spence CLEARLY said that if Jeremy wins Mark is still the Nets GM. That's the only reason me or anyone is voting for Mark.

I honestly believe I should have this position. It's tough making a poll because it's an obvious popularity contest...I haven't been in many other leagues, which leads to the lack of credibility.
I've ran 2 leagues, but this shouldn't really effect the decision. What should, IMO is what I've done with the Jazz as an Assistant GM and handled the position. I've gained enough respect and credibility from Manasari (my GM) to make moves and handle the depth chart, essentially running the team.
I'm on here everyday, even tho my post count isn't abnormally high. I tweak the depth chart and I'm trying to perfect it but with Brad Miller coming back I think it'll be a little easier. We're a top 3 team in the Western Conf. without Brad Miller. However, I've lost some games that I shouldn't have and that's why I'm still tweaking.
All in all, I think the hiring of a new GM should be based on how you (Spencer) thinks he will manage the team, and how much he can contribute to the league. I haven't gone full out with contributions and sigs because I'm only an assistant...I don't want to overshadow Manasari because he's done most, if not all the work to get this team where it is.
If the decision is made and I'm not the GM no hard feelings or cold blood against anybody. I love this Jazz team and there are some positions I'm actually willing to pass up staying here with the Jazz. I don't feel minimized with what I can do because Manasari really opened the doors for me and let me that a grip on the team. I'll be happy regardless of what happens, and honestly if I were to be chosen to take the Nets, I'd have to think about it. It's not automatic for me either. I'm not desperate for a team, I look at it as you hiring me because you/the team need me, rather than me getting hired because I need you/the team.
Long enough post...
GO JAZZ!

dude i was with you until the last paragraph. i hardly see you taking a team as good as the nets as "doing us a favor".
you being a gm is fine with me but cut it out with that crap. there's no way in hell you believe being an assistant is better than being the nets gm when you just went out of your way and wrote a 1 page essay on why you deserve to be the gm.

I honestly didn't take a look at the Nets team before I made the post. I played them twice this year going 1-1 against them.
Seriously, Nets are not a dominant team by any means. What I mean is, if I were to take over a team I would think about taking a good team and just give them that extra push to take them all the way...or would I want a team in a big hole and bring them out and make them a TEAM.
Honestly, like I said being an assistant GM isn't a big deal to me right now because of what I can do. Just because I don't have the "label" of a GM doesn't mean I don't go about like it's still my team, and I have a part of it too.
Well, that wasn't necessarily an essay, but to the standards of posting on these forums it is. I mean compared to the other 3 letter posts on these forums, yeah that's a long post.
I'm pretty serious when I'm saying I would POSSIBLY decline the Nets position but I wouldn't know for sure. All I know is, if I were to take the team over, I'd give 110% and do whatever I could to take the team where it needs to be.

I will go out here and say this. I would love Mark back if he was a little more consistant with his posts. Reason being is that he likes to speak his mind. I like Spence and I like a good part of the GM's in here, but some of you need to get your stomach pumped for the amount you suck his dick. Some of you really agree with Spence on everything he says and I will say some of it is correct but not all of it and what made Mark special was his ability to not give a fuck.

I'd like to throw my support 100% behind my assistant GM. He consistently puts effort into making the Jazz a better team, and though I'd hate to lose him, I'd have to say he's shown the knowledge and devotion necessary to succeed.
