i would have given up a large amount of JJ, but i'm happy the deal went through, this should make the hornets pick a little better this year.

I did the deal all for you Hernando...but really why does everyone think this makes him worse now? I think it could potentially make him better. I got nothing to prove as the deal is in but I honestly think he is better. 1-5 now

I've never had a team of "studs" nor will I ever want to. Back in the old BBS I made it to the Western Conf finals carried by Chauncey Billups and a bunch of what people thought as "mediocre" players.
Sure, I might never win a championship with this team... but I just like to prove that I can be competitive without a "Star" player.
Marvin and RIP fit my team perfectly. Marvin AND rip now gives me a legit starting 5 and Kwame let's me experiment my line-up.
People "don't get this deal"... but NO one would have offered what Dave did for JJ.

And James, please don't talk you inherited a stacked Golden State team... congratu fucking lations.

Deal is good for both I guess. Though NO had a great team already with nash, JJ and al har, def playoffs. But marvin will be just as good too, so that should be interesting to see how he developes.
Bulls are unstoppable.

I knew what I was doing when I traded JJ to Chicagp... I also knew I had to make a move because even after the Nash deal my team still seemed lacking.
And to say picks 2-5 years down the line are going to be "Bad" is just retarded.

don't see the big deal about trading JJ, i think marvin will and rip will be nice pieces for New Orleans and i think JJ will not get any better than he is now. Marvin Will has years to go before he reaches where he will peak out at. good deal for both teams. New Orleans is better in the future and Chicago is better now.

And Chris, I woulda loved this deal yesterday when you still had your pick. Now, I just dont get it. Not saying its bad value, just doesnt make sense. you're right... if I had my pick still this trade would have been extraordinary... but I needed a move after the Nash deal I went 2-2 in non-convincing wins and huge losses to Atlanta and Detroit. I don't think I lose to much... I gain more depth and a legit starting 5 now. Marvin and Rip are also above average defenders. That pick will not fall lotto, guaranteed.

Now this is really bad. JJ is young and a proven star. Marvin might end up good. RIP is nothing more than a horrible contract. He is not a good player in this league.

Shane Battier SF 26 6'8'' 220 C+ B+ C A- C B
Rip Hamilton SG 27 6'6'' 188 C A- C B+ D+ D
Damn Battier must have some massive value!! Let me get some offers streaming in folks.

If you think Marvin just "might" end up good you're retarded he's at B B- C A- B- A at just 19 6'10" 232lbs with 2 RCs to go... LeBron James "might" be a star too who knows. You're probably the same person who said JJ "might" be a star. Get real this is the best offer anyone was going to offer me for JJ the fact that it's to Chicago makes this a "bad" deal.
